Brilliant! The poster thinks because times have changed I should change with them. I should accept the outcome of an overpaid coach who can't coach. I should accept the changing of our University into an NBA farm team. You can accept that, but I nor fans who love the university more than any player or coach will ever accept your version of change. Kentucky isn't the university of Cal!

These guys don't care about UK. They would be writing this article if Cal was coaching Yemen. Cal is not the same Cal imo. However, Izzo. Self, etc ain't been exactly setting the world on fire either. No articles about them. I get you're done with Cal, I do, but I still see the hypocrisy here despite my frustrations with Cal.

They probably don't care about UK. However, they do care about showing that this self proclaimed genius coach sucks. They love the fact that the mouth of the south has lost his voice and that the only sounds coming from it is noise.

Going with Cal does much less with a lot more. Take a look at tge amount of talent that has come to Kentucky since Cal came to town. Unfortunately, I think it's fair to say he's wasted more talent than any other coach in college BB.

There is no coach of any sport at any level that doesn't occasionally have a down year. Salary or tenure has no relevance. Fans who aren't children accept that. If one year becomes two, or three, then calls for firing become justified. As it is now, I'm amazed at the amount of childish ignorance on RR.

A down year this would be multiple down years for the almighty Calipari you just don't miss the tournament when you're UK's head coach. This will be the 2nd time that he had missed the tournament as our head coach even Tubby Smith didn't miss the tournament! He makes 10 million a year he deserves the criticism he's getting for the product he's producing this team being the #1 recruiting class could possibly go down as the worst team in school history now let that also sink in for a minute we are UK this kind of crap dont happen here!!!!!!!!

I’m not a fan of any of these guys, but what they said is fair bc it’s open season. Cal has invited this and so has some of the fan behavior. These are ugly times so it’s time to pile on.

Forde is a bit smug but very talented. He’s written a couple pieces over the years that were really stellar. He’s never cared for Cal but his link to Pitino drove that even further. He’s on local radio here all the time and seems cooler than some Uk fans allow him to be in their minds.

Wetzel and Thamel are like Bobby the Brain Heenan. Loud... screaming look at me... but of very little substance. Some of my teenage students have more writing ability than Thamel to be honest. Just read his stuff... you’ll see!
