Yadda yadda yadda have we started hanging banners for a worthless top recruiting class recognition? What good does it do you if you don't know what to do with it?
You make this first losing season sound like it is by a single loss and possibly because injuries to key players. Not the case!! We look like we shouldn't be on the court. We look as clueless on the court as a Jamaican bobsled team on ice.
True, but no other coaches go around running their mouth about how many NBA draft picks they have either.
How can I fault them for not liking Cal? UK fans don't like Cal, the refs don't like Cal, James Naismith doesn't Cal, Cal's dog doesn't like Cal. I am not certain that Cal likes Cal. GET IT!!
Nah, just the last few years. The first 5/6 years were incredible.
Times have changed though unfortunately and Cal refuses to adapt. That’s the issue.
K gets a pass becuase of his idol worshippers, Vitale, ESPN, etc. Izzo and Self both get a ton of free passes. I have no idea why.
He is insufferable when he does that. I mute it or change the channel when he does that.
The issue is, there is no article like this written if UK is running like a top. Only when UK falters do these trolls come out from under their bridge.
Cal is fair game for a lot of things. His mouth has written uncashable checks for years.
However, dook, KU, UNC all suck this year. UNC went 14-19 a year or so ago, no article. Izzo got a seal beting the other night. No article.
Why pick out UK? You know why.

I think there’s a few reasons why you pick out UK.
Are you really surprised that people would take the opportunity to kick someone who they don't like when he is down? With all do respect, how old are you? You are either extremely young or very innocent.
So what do you take from those stats? You should either take that Izzo does much more with less or that Cal has no idea what to do with top recruiting classes or recruiting class rankings mean nothing.
As soon as I saw the names involved I agreed. Still have no idea what the article is about but already I don't care.
You could but his teams are always in the mix so what is your point? I would rather have a less lazy coach than recruiter. What good is it to have the talent and not know what to do with it?
Going with Cal does much less with a lot more. Take a look at tge amount of talent that has come to Kentucky since Cal came to town. Unfortunately, I think it's fair to say he's wasted more talent than any other coach in college BB.

Instead of amassing talent and shuttling guys to the NBA, I wish Cal would scout guys who fit into a team system. Bring in good shooters to complement the stud athletes.
Jace, I don't think UK fans expect to win a Championship every year, that's stupid. However, when you recruit the top class, you expect better then what were getting in the last 5 years, plus this one. If we're going to lose, at least do it with some players that have been here more then one year, and are playing for UK, not the NBA. The other thing is, Cal should be coaching for UK, not the NBA. Who is paying his salary?

There is no coach of any sport at any level that doesn't occasionally have a down year. Salary or tenure has no relevance. Fans who aren't children accept that. If one year becomes two, or three, then calls for firing become justified. As it is now, I'm amazed at the amount of childish ignorance on RR.
I wish I were both. I understand what you are saying. I just think it's a little hypocritical to single Cal out when other blue bloods are swimming the same pool as UK this year. These same guys strain their necks to look away when K's hypocrisy comes out.
I have no problem with Cal taking heat. Plenty of heat to go around this year is all I'm saying.
I think maybe you confused my post or I'm confused with yours. I'm talking about the 3 trolls who live to snipe Cal at every turn.
I hear what you are saying, but Cal has worked hard to create all the hate coming his way. For that, I have nothing for him but a ticket out of town. Because the hate he has brought on himself is now spilling over onto the team that I have cheered for most of my life. No coach or player is more important than the team.
You guys continue to miss the transition occurring in our program right before your eyes. This is a transition year. Cal is building the core base of players to take him to a couple more titles over his last years

These guys don't care about UK. They would be writing this article if Cal was coaching Yemen. Cal is not the same Cal imo. However, Izzo. Self, etc ain't been exactly setting the world on fire either. No articles about them. I get you're done with Cal, I do, but I still see the hypocrisy here despite my frustrations with Cal.

I didn't say we "sucked last year" in that statement. I very clearly said we aren't accelerating, and we aren't. Even the 2019 team choked in the Elite Eight and SEC tourney. Last year's team was maybe a 3 seed. That's decent, but that is not accelerating as a program. 2016, 2018, and even 2019 ended on horrible notes. Recruiting has fallen. I see no momentum as a program, even before this year. Do you?
I really do wish Calipari could adapt and fix everything but I just don't have any faith that he will anymore. All I want is to be in the hunt most years and watch a team play together with effort. The revolving door of players leaving early and transferring is just ridiculous.
Literally no other team experiences roster turnover that we do. Times have changed. Cal will not adapt.
