Didn't that kind of happen for us to a lesser extent? McCaffrey coming in seems to have given our offense a shot in the arm.

In any event, one big difference I saw was Penn State's #2 QB looked alot more adept at running the zone read and killed us with it. TMart back in the day was one of the better ones I've seen, would hold it almost seemed like for too long then make the decision and it worked.

Their backup is a big strong athletic kid with NFL type measureables. Accurate arm. Good runner and took pretty good care of the football. They'll win a lot of games if he's their QB going forward.

Maybe a bit but our offense was not great on Saturday by any means. 14 of our 30 points were essentially scored by our D. So...a limited shot in the arm perhaps. 16 points isn’t great.

Any QB on a college roster will look good if you don't pressure them. See purdues 3rd string walk on guy who drove them to a winning touchdown against us last year.

Our offense wasn’t any better with LM. I’m sure he will improve with more reps and experience. But we won Saturday because the defense stepped up and the special teams played well, luxuries AM hasn’t had for the most part.
