I guess we'll find out next week. Win or lose Murphy has already seen a better spread team this season in Heard County GA so they aren't going to be in awe by anything CSOD do
If Murphy defense pressures like they are capable of, it will be very interesting.
offense needs to be controlled, we need to run the dang ball!

You better stop the pass or it will be a long night good luck

If I’m Murphy I run run run and run some more! Keep their offense off the field as much as possible. On defense I would turn the dogs loose and let the chips fall where they may,

Swain down 5 starters on defense: #5, #6, #16, #25 and #50, their defense didn't play well enough in general with poor tackling and not getting off blocks but a couple of those backups in particular were badly exposed tonight. And then offensively the 5 turnovers and #6 so hobbled he ran with a noticeable limp, it was a losing recipe from the start and they never had a chance.

Let me be clear CSOD is a good football team, they are athletic and well coached, they made a statement tonight and have everyone's attention. With that said the Murphy team CSOD sees next week is going to be a whole lot better than the Swain team that took the field tonight. I think it will be a heck of a game.

CSOD doesn't go down the field much, they ran a bunch of screen plays against Swain, they like to get their playmakers out in space. Their WR's block really well from what I saw. Murphy will have to tackle well and the DB's will have to get off their blocks a lot better than Swain's did.

I expect a heck of a game too. I think Murphy will be alright as long as they do the little things right (block, tackle, limit penalties and turnovers). I don’t see CSOD stopping Murphy’s offense much. I have confidence in Murphy’s D to do what it must do to win. We will see what happens next week.

I will say that I feel a lot better about next week after reading your post listing all of Swain’s injuries. Still plenty nervous though. But the anticipation is part of what makes these games so special this time of year. Can’t wait!

Played like s basically. waisted season

It looked like MIC scored first and held the lead, so that when Alleghany finally scored they gambled and went bold or broke. Is that what happened? I didn’t see the Trojans losing so early!

CSOD skill players are explosive, it will be the best offense Murphy's seen outside of Heard County and defensively they looked good too, they are long and athletic and fly to the football on defense.

They had 8 in the box all night against Swain, #10 will have to make some plays to keep their defense honest. I thought #10 threw the ball well last night, he'll need to again next week because CSOD's defense looked better than I expected.

Got it thanks
One thing I'd say to keep in mind when watching Swain on offense is just how hurt #6 the RB from Swain was, healthy he's a 10.8 100 meter guy and the reigning western regional champion in the 100 meter. He tried to grit it out last night but he shouldn't have been out there.

This is what a healthy #6 looked like against the 1 seed in 3A Mountain Heritage earlier this season. So you can imagine how completely neutered their offense was with him and their QB #16 playing hurt. They normally start at corner and free safety respectively as well.

Definitely not the same team the last few weeks.

I didn’t realize until today that CSOD was in 2a last year and lost in the third round of the 2a playoffs to Shelby. Rut Roh…..

I honestly don’t know what to make of this game now. Just hope the dogs play hard and catch a few breaks. Maybe that combination and the mystique of playing at the Hill will be enough to help the Dogs pull it out. Fans need to show up and provide a real home field advantage like the old days.
