obviously these are not B1G refs, bc they would have thrown laundry and had to eject the tackler on the INT. there......just sayin!
won't be AK this summer, two weeks last July, my rugby mate is trying to get to the KP in August to catch silvers though. I switched to golf, as all 2nd and 3rd teamers playing with a running clock in the 3rd quarter it's 24-6 red with about 3 minutes left in the 3rd now.
Crap I forgot about the second half thread. I was just a chatting away by myself in the other. Oh well, nothing new.
I think Nelson is going to play a lot this fall. Great motor. Paup had some nice plays too. I saw some walk ons out there that showed well who could help us depth wise in a pinch. Cassidy played well.
Agreed, I love how defense is coming around. That area won’t be a weakness for much longer if at all. We still have some areas that need shored up but overall our defense is finally coming around.
I posted this on the first half thread and meant to put it here. Our offense will be one of the best in the West and one of the tops in the BIG overall. But our defense is finally coming together. If we can shore up those couple spots, we will have a solid defensive group to shut the run down and play some good pass coverage.

Pretty vanilla. But we expected that. I saw a lot to like, but a few things on the disappointment side from some individuals that I heard a lot of good things about in previous weeks tbat surprised me.
Not putting a ton of stock in what I saw today because there's a lot of moving pieces and parts between now and game#1 this fall.
I am going to go back and watch it again on DVR and watch line play specifically. Maybe it wasn't as bad as I thought but sure a lot of high snaps.
Congratulations to Butch Hugging. Good man and he's done a heck of a job. VERY personable guy and I appreciate the few times I've met and visited with him. A true professional and did a great job on the behind the scene things that nobody notices. That's the sign of a job well done.
