If it’s the culture, then Rhule should have identified that and sat the older players in favor of younger players.

That’s why he gets paid the big bucks is to identify and execute on culture.

He’s not doing it. I’m done blaming the players

Yeah, I don’t know what he’s telling these guys, But it is mostly falling on deaf ears. They don’t believe him

Why haven’t we seen Coleman in there at all? Three games left + a potential bowl game is his 4 games and still eligible for redshirt
There has to be something going on with him. I’ve heard rumors but I think if he was a better option he would be on the field.

Yeah but 13 points on offense isn’t going to win many games with our porous D. The they had a 40 yard run on a short side option. 😡

I remember clearly how we lamented that we would lose him to another school. The pearl clutching was next level. Fast-forward two years and it’s a giant nothing burger

Well that could be what’s going on. He might have already told them he’s leaving and doesn’t want to play.

Right now the last thing Rhule is worried about is a RS WR transfering to a different school.

If someone offered him a guaranteed 6 win season THIS YEAR for every RS FR on his roster,
he would say, "You can have 'em."

Possibly 2 years in a row missing a bowl game, 8 straight years no bowl game for NU? 8 YEARS.

We'll be six teams' homecoming game next year.

I loathe the constant bitching about the officials that goes on…but *******; the refs took points off the board twice.

And I totally get that those Hail Marys don’t get DPI calls, but there is usually a scrum of 6 or 7 guys jockeying for position, so they let it go. On NU’s last play, there was no scrum, there was merely a USC DB BLANTANTLY HOLDING Banks. *******, you gotta flag that. You can’t let something like that go.

Such ********.
100%. If that play occurred in the first 3.5 quarters, they're calling DPI. Why, because it's the final play of the game, do those not get called?

With the new roster limits the “process” is going to take on new importance. A lot of guys are going to have to leave.

***disclaimer... this in not even speculation, it's only a nightmare scenario***

Let's say, and this is totally hypothetical,

Dylan has told Rhule,, "I didn't come here to sit. If I'm able to go, and you bench me for more than one or two plays, I'm outta here." So, in that scenario Dylan owns Rhule.

As a result of that, Rhule then has to tell DH, "Look, if Dylan is able to perform, we will not sub for him for more than one or two plays a game. Try to make it work."

End result? Dylan may or may not leave. What you think that does to DH and his plan as the OC going forward? He's likely outta here too.

Just hypothetical, but I know Tommy Frazier told that to TO when he was a freshman and Grant? had been stinking up the place.

Highly recruited kids have been on scholarship since the 5th grade.
They're used to getting their way.

Spoken like a true Offensive Coordinator. Why do you think Bobby Bowden ALWAYS went deep at least one time during their very first offensive series?

This attitude is deeply troubling. You’ve got a kid like DK who is homegrown and would do anything for the team. Let’s not forget that he was a four star and decommitted from Missouri, a much better team than us. We wouldn’t be worried about his loyalty. He needs a chance to win the job next season

He had a chance to win it this year and couldn’t beat out Haarberg. He needed a year at least to get stronger. He made a good choice IMO to stay home. He very well could end up being a 2 year starter.
