Sad. Really thought we had a team to get us to a good bowl game. Now, 6 may be tough. Purdue, UCLA and maybe Wisc.

Not sure we beat Purdue or UCLA at this point. Wisconsin has owned us since joining the Big-10.

So many issues…but our secondary was nowhere near their receivers all night. Altmeyer was playing catch. We contested maybe 2 passes all night.

I wasn't elated to go into OT as I didn't trust the defense, and the pressure would be placed on Raiola.

I had a strong feeling the missed TD by Raiola, along with the missed FG would cost us.

"Out coached" is such a trite usage re: sports talk, but I do believe the Huskers were out coached tonight. Illinois seemed one step ahead throughout most of the game.

Every throw was wide open. Dylan made some excellent throws. I saw none from IL QB. I was wondering all night, what the f*ck is our pass defense doing?

In a game like this you cannot miss the wide open receiver in the end zone to take the lead 31-24. So many things happen but game could have been won with that one play.

It's not the end of the world guys. 3-1 seemed nice at the beginning of the season. Can still make a good bowl and maybe get to 8-4. Not giving up on these guys yet

Yeah I saw it along with numerous holding calls by the Illini but bottom lhe ine we didn't run the ball, couldn't stop the TE passes, missed field goal, defen sive line didn't do crap,missed 2 TD passes 1 was intercepted.I would say 2 things mattered ,no pressure on their QB and our inability to run the ball.This came down to poor line play by both sides of the ball.Missed field goal was huge and the interception.

We only kick FGs when we don't need them.

I think that has to be the direction we have to go. If it is 20 yards or under…kick the FG otherwise we have to keep the Offense on the field

The Refs will never call a fair game for us. That is why we need to get up by at least 4 TDs over opposing teams that way it isn’t so obvious how the Big 10 is against us. The problem is now that we are in Big-10 schedule, we won’t have many chances to get up by 28 points.

Technically last year was 6-6. Now we have a QB. What has always been missing is a good O-line and a reliable kicker. This year the Defensive secondary has been a disappointment. We are still in baby step mode. Just get to a bowl game
