Showed a lot of character with all the struggles to come back and win. Thompson is a tough sucker and that last TD pass was money with great touch
The improvement has been dramatic. The second half adjustments great. BUT he’s going to have to show more than that crappy first half and win more games before he gets the job
Yeah I’m not saying he can’t earn the job, but there’s a long way to go before that happens.
But I also don’t agree with the idea that he has to beat everyone but Michigan to lose the interim tag. Go 7-1 with this roster? Really don’t think there’s a coach on Earth who could pull that off.
If Mickey gets 5 wins he will get the job. The appearance will be that he has turned things around. An African American HC is overdue in Lincoln.

Need best head coach period
It was like the inverse of every close loss over the last couple years, where we usually looked good early, only to get outschemed all second half and completely implode. Capped off by some jackass decision like slamming the ball carrier out of bounds after you get the stop on third down.
