Give me a break. Increase the price now. I'm so sick of you all making money on the tickets while the rest of us can't afford to go. There is no reason baseball should lose money and be subsidized by football. We're going to possibly set the attendance record for a college baseball yearly attendance but might not come out ahead in revenue.
How much money do they make on the midweek games I wonder...
I'm all about the university charging market clearing prices for seating. I'm not sure an SEC game late in the season tells much about whether the university is doing that.
Also, I don't think the university did a good job of explaining to people that if they didn't sign up for a five year (or whatever it was) commitment, there would be basically no availability for seating for the length of that commitment and likely well beyond. But if part of that commitment was a max price guarantee for how many years, not much to do about it now other than wait it out.
ETA: It also gives a sport that basically doesn't make money a break on spending. We don't have a good excuse for our schedule this year, but in general, we should be able to fill an early season midweek game with a nearby team that is bad that allows the traveling team to save some money. I don't want to play Valley by an means, but it shouldn't be extremely painful to beat Valley once in a 55 game schedule.
