Ok, so now our running total against the teams that matter in our division the past 2 seasons (with 3 more shutouts in the pipeline) is 278-0. How in the world is HC Chris Ash not put on a F $!#@&* bus back to Iowa...STAT! Someone please....please tell me one other school at F $!#@&* ANY Div 1 LEVEL THAT WOULD FAIL TO SCORE A SINGLE ******** POINT in these 5 games. Troy would, EMU with their 8,000 plus home attendance would, NIU has and would again, UCONN would (even though they suck they have better hardware than us), and on..and on..and on! CUT BAIT ASAP HOBBS! People...wake up, not one (1) single point in these 5 games. Its almost impossible to pull off! Please, someone, anyone...tell me the team that has matched this incredible feat in the HISTORY of college football.

funny..I was just pulling the stats.... 1 and 13 last 14 games. 5 shutouts + 2 games with only 7 points. Outscored 489-195 those last 14 games.(Pull Morgan St out and have 489-130!) That's avg beat down of 37.6 to 7.6 over 13 games! Fracking throw up worthy.

Terry Shea couldn't recruit but he could out coach this crew with his eyes shut.

Troy State beat #21 LSU yesterday
Troys 2018 recruits all are rated at 44 or LOWER....heck even RU gets players rated 82
teams like TROY, NIU and EMU have NO CHOICE but to develop 2 star players
and they have to have decent game day coaching
dumb luck has them winning an upset every once in awhile

We have neither good player development nor coaches with good game day skills
We Lose the games we should win & get creamed by most ranked teams
We dont even have "dumb luck" going for us

Wait how did they beat a team with way more talent than them, the posters on this board say we can't even be expected to beat a team with a bit more talent than us

BC would have been shut out 278-0 as well. And I'm a BC fan. You guys don't know what painful is until you have watched BC on offense. They have some talent on O, yet every game leaves you wanting to scratch your eyes out because of the play calling and offensive philosophy.

Thank God this will be Addazio's last year so we can start the never ending process of rebuilding again. Maybe Joe Morehead?

I respect you RU fans - not many fans have suffered more but you keep showing up to support your team. Your day will come, as it did under the later years of Schipani.

Good luck.

yes,Ash will be gone at end of 2018 season without a 500 record in 2018. Chances of that record happening are very slim,at best.

Give it 2 weeks and you will start feeling better. Don't do anything crazy. Don't mix for sure...

We simply cannot afford to buy Ash and his staff out of their contracts early, we don't have the dollars and it would IMO cause a huge hit to Hobbs fundraising efforts to fire his personally hire football coach

The big problem as I said at the beginning of the season but no one wanted to hear it...our offensive line is well below average...Seymour is still a converted DT, Miller is a prime example of a good kid that has NOT gotten better simply with game experience, Jonah Jackson is too inexperienced to be an effective center, should probably move to guard, applefield has already been benched and we have zero depth behind these guys...and really true freshman (like Micah) shouldn't be counted on to contribute it's just not fair to them...

I'm interested in hearing what the qualifications are for a team to "matter." I'm guessing it involves shutting us out so that you could make your point that we haven't scored against teams that "matter."

It's having a pulse at some point in a game against the big 4 teams in our division. You know....to show improvement. The reality is that we have shown zero improvement. The only thing this team has done is execute two scripted drives against Washington and Nebraska. After that the offense has been on life support. Oh....wait...we ran outside the tackles during the first drive of the second half against Eastern Michigan and scored...yippeeee! You know who the teams are that matter dum dum.

Teams want to have consistency in performance but not the type being played at Rutgers .

As an alum, it is so gut-wrenching to continually read critiques of OSU, PSU, and Michigan that downplay their routs of Rutgers because, after all, it's just plain old Rutgers.

JoeMo would be perfect for the BC program. I hope you're able to get him if he decides to leave next year.

I think you guys may minimize the psychiatric aspect to these games. OSU needs to win big. A shutout makes them look better when comparing them to UM if they get a shutout and also inevitably win big. Scoring a field goal or 7 pts isn't that much of a deal for Rutgers, but it is for UM and OSU since they are competing against each other partially over their scores over common opponents. UM, OSU, and PSU have as much incentive as possible to defeat rutgers by as much with as little given up. Rutgers needs to consistently get better talent (something that will take years) in order to put the team to have a realistic chance of beating any of these teams as their management is going no.

This doesn't extend to less common opponents such as the perceived weaker teams in the west. Just win those games and you're good.

Rutgers needs to bring in more talented players first. Ash is a good enough HC to get you there. Kill is a good enough OC to get you close.
