79kg round two, Levi Haines vs. Chance Marstellar (Haines leads the series 1-0)

We're underway. Stoppage for Haines passivity warning at 5:16. They restart and Marstellar reaches in but he can't get to Haines. MArstellar drops in on a low single and is trying to finish it but Haines locks in behind him and is up over Marstellar's shoulder as they roll through and continue to scramble and it leads to a stalemate. Somehow Marstellar got two out of that. Not entirely sure when or how. Penn State corner is challenging it. Upon review, it is two exposures for Marstellar. No indisputable evidence to overturn it. So now it's 3-0 Marstellar at 4:30.

They restart and Haines is a bit more active now. He shoots in on the edge but can't get there as they circle back to center. Stoppage for Marstellar to be warned for passivity as Marstellar grabs at his ribs again. They restart and levi drops in on a leg and is working for and gets two before the horn to make it 3-2 after one.

Marstellar leads Haines 3-2 after one. Marstellar looks pretty tired as Haines takes instruction from Casey Cunningham and Jake Varner.

BREAK ENDS

We are back underway in the second period. Marstellar shoots but Haines fends it off. Marstellar backs away and grabs his ribs and needs a medical stoppage at 2:31 in the second period. Medical time is now underway.

Back in action and Levi shoots quickly and blows through a shot for two and two to take a 6-3 lead at 2:05. And a stalemate is called at 2:01. Marstellar shoots and Haines cirlces away from it with 1:14 to go. Neutral with under :50 to go. Marstellar shoots and Haines blocks down and fends it off. There's :30 to go. That's it

Haines d. Marstellar 6-3, wins series 2-0 and is headed back to Worlds.

Levi looked so good today. Chance was definitely not a 100% but I don’t think it would’ve mattered. He is such a great finisher and is brutal in the handfight
Levi looks like he's gotten taller . He's gonna be an 86 I think now. I was leaning towards him cutting to 74 but not anymore

Gang: Think it’s clear there’s going to be no agreement here. If we can wrap it up either way by the start of round two that’d be great. And in the spirit of a conversation starter, which match(s) do you have going three?

I’m pondering at the moment beyond Jax/Blaze being a for sure yes for me and Haines/Marstellar being an absolutely not.
Thank you Mr. Pickel anytime I see a post with Lewans name in it I start falling asleep.

Clearly the caliber of wrestlers is monumental between the two. The comparison comes from feeling the exact same way when I watch them...which why aren't they doing anything to give them the best chance to win which will always be

I've been here many times over the years but eventually tire of the group-think and need to take a break.
This might be a good time for that break.

Other than Taylor Swift that's the kind of district I need to move to

Green gets a quick takedown to start the second to take a 5-0 lead wth 2:37 left to wrestle. And Green now needs more blood time.

Carr is too good to be this shut down.

And what impresses me most is how much Green is also shooting. Sometimes the 30+ year olds perfect their defense, but don’t shoot much. Green gets to legs too.

Edit: and then Carr scores 6 and leads
