I cannot wait for Aaron Brooks to be back. I hope he is training his *** off and comes back an even bigger beast than he already was. He is uniquely talented in the world and a good dude
Serious question, how does he train if he has no access to any coaches or training partners in USA wrestling? Does he go overseas and train with other national teams, kind of like when some of the Japanese team members come to NLWC?

Interesting thought. I believe Henkel was highest eligible placer at US Open and Singleton won U23 tournament. Assume they are all in the mix for consideration. When do the guys who earned the spot have to decide if they are going to take it? I assume Blaze, Levi and maybe Bassett if he beats Woods would be encouraged by USA wrestling to focus on Seniors since 2 weeks later.

I don't expect anyone on the SR team to do U23. And this year UsaW decided we would be communist Russia and pick the u23 team if no one was top 4 for national team is u23 eligible.
65 Mendez is eligible
79 Mitchell is
97 Barr is
All other weights have guys who are top 4

Guys on national team top 3 have until June 29 to accept
So Luke Jax Landon James

I like JB’s announcing, he does great job at putting aside any hard feelings he may have for recent competitors.
i think ole Spencer is going to have his handful trying to make the Olympic team if Luke stays healthy and doesnt get too big.

As others have said ... when Dake decides to retire from competition, I sure hope we can keep hm in State College.

How many coaches are we allowed to have on at NLWC ??

I believe it may only be limited by the number and dollars associated with secret pre-commitment deals that Cael made with recruits for post-graduation payments visa vi the NLWC. Ira may know the exact figures.
So you've no clue shocker. And your jokes suck

I respect you. But Blaze went:
  • TF win
  • TF win
  • Dec win over Ayala
  • TB loss to Davino
  • TF win
Before losing to Seidel in the consolation final. I just don’t see the anomaly/bad tourney everyone else claims. Seidel, who is really, really good, was just better that day. Everything else was what we saw all season.

I didn't see it that way at all. He clearly dislikes Dake and is anti- PSU

If it did, I didn't see it.
So, additional information provided - which would have been helpful initially:

There was a point in match two where I watched him say “ I don’t wanna be here any more “ … now I only wrestled in high school and I was terrible … but I know what I saw .. to see that from a world champion was mind blowing … discus

One of those comic book caption bubbles might as well have popped up above his head.

For Zain to decide to go to World Team Trials one week out from the event is just crazy to me. He must keep himself in great shape, cardio and weight-wise. It has been such a pleasure to watch his wrestling career unfold. He has been such a great ambassador for the sport, and his impact on Penn State wrestling was and continues to be so impressive. It must be my age, but him beating Logan doesn't seem as long ago as it was.

It's like riding a bike for some . His defense is one of the best in the world and that hasn't changed. What's been impressive to me has been how he still has the ability to go get one when he needs to. When he's been on the clock I think he's scored all but once.

I loved hearing his complimentary comments about Joe Sealey at 3:14 and Levi at 4:45. As a Christian, it was also great to hear him talk about his spiritual journey since becoming a Christian. As an outsider, I think I have recently seen Kyle's growth in humility. When Kyle was in college and later in his early freestyle career, humility wasn't the word I would have used in describing him : ). It is just a great reminder for me that our lives are a marathon and not a sprint. As long as there is breath in our lungs, we have the opportunity to become a better person than we are today.
