I finally broke down and got one for the 1/2 deal they had a few weeks back. I like the articles and content that the writers bring. But that message board.....man. It makes most of EDs guys look sane. I made a disparaging comment about Breiner and it would like a called their mother a *****.
And for that, HD and Godfather, I am thankful for this board.

It went straight downhill once Gene took over. I miss Paul's write ups and reporting but won't put a penny in Gene's pocket.

I broke down when they ran the 75% off special a couple weeks back. I figure $25 for a year wasn't bad. That's half what I help out with here every year. Plus get to read content and message boards on any other 247 site. So, get to read the lunacy on the Spirit, too. Paul and David's content is very good. SPS is still my #1 go-to, though. Has been that way since 2003. I don't give ED a click, period.

I started reading this site for factual info but the info I see here I already saw elsewhere. The rumors are never true but there are a few opinions that I like reading. As far as paying for a site the internet has way too much free info to actually pay for someone's best guesses.

I've never seen a group of men get so butt-hurt over being "downvoted" on a message board until the last 6 month or so on 247. Unreal.

A lot of those same yahoos are over here toting water and downvoting folks. One of them said it was his mission to come over to this board and ruin it.

We simply have too many fans that believe that ANY coach of MSU is untouchable and cannot be criticized. If you make a negative comment about a play they called or whatever, they take it as an insult to their child.

I have never understood the supposed competition between this site and Gene's Page. I read the free stuff there but wouldnt pay. Sounds ridiculous to think people spy on this page from there. Or versa visa? Is there some kind of proprietary insider info here ? Seems like it's mostly accountant grads from State that never played football for the most part spewing thier opinions on what a ****** administration we have and how stupid the coach is

Well, the athletic administration certainly doesn't always inspire confidence in the booster/donor population that they are qualified to run a multi multi million dollar enterprise. I give you "tutorgate" as just the latest example. I agree with your assumed premise that any message board competition is juvenile. TBH, I don't think that competition exists for the vast majority of message board readers.

Can't post on the Spirit, but yes, you can read boards and VIP content on any 247 site with a membership to any other 247 site. You can only post on the one you signed up with, though. The 75% off special was being run on all 247 sites. I signed up with ours. I doubt I'll renew, but figured wtf, $25 aint gonna kill me for a year's access to all 247 content (CBS online content, too, including all sports, prime time, specials, etc...You could definitely be Nerrick Dix
