24-team playoff discussions

More games, more TV revenue, more gambling, yaaaaay. I long for the day when there's a 48-team, round robin tournament.
Who cares 20-year old bodies can break with overuse? Who cares some of those kids are actually trying to study something challenging?

That Vandy/Iowa would have been a playoff game last year. In the last 10 years, Iowa would have been in the playoff 6 of them. With the conferences at 18 teams, you are only scheduling ~half the conference. I'm good with the expansion.

Had they seeded it as a 24 team playoff, Iowa would have played Miami.

FCS NCAA football has a 24 team playoff.

Division 2 and 3 NCAA football have 32 team playoffs.

No one seems to care if those bodies are being broken or if those kids are missing class. Or, is this a different kind of football played at a different time. :)

Force teams to drop FCS games and make strength of schedule a huge component of at large bids.
