They look good. Not as offensively challenged as some prior teams. Depth appears to be a bit of an issue but if they get Zippy back that would certainly help. Let's see how they do against OSU, which sounds like a step up in the level of competition.

The plural of lioness is a bit clumsy to pronounce. At least the RU women changed the old "Lady Knights" to "Scarlet Knights" a number of years back.

I do think the layoff actually helped but there is no doubt this is a solid team with all the parts. Folks always asked for an offense and now you see.
CVS just keeps on ticking. Have had my concerns but dang..I'm oving this.

72-50 with 1 minute. Liz Martino giving quality minutes!
Thanks everybody for the updates.I had both my eyes injected with steroids at 3 today. They just cleared up and glad to hear the outcome was positive.

With the win they guarantee finishing above Northwestern so at worst the 4 seed in the conference tournament. Double bye.
Need to win Friday vs. Ohio State and Michigan to lose at least one
Michigan has Maryland Thursday then Northwestern Saturday.
If Michigan loses both they drop to the 5 seed (Rutgers the 3, Northwestern the 4)

If Rutgers loses to Ohio State: Michigan just needs to go 1-1 to claim the 3 seed.
Ru then the 4 and NW the 5. (The announcers for todays PSU game said Michigan holds the tie
breaker over Rutgers if we end up with the same record. We did not play Michigan)

After the horrible first quarter, RU outscored PSU 62-35 the rest of the way.

If you start counting after PSU went up 11-0, they then outscored them 74-45.

SO great to see 4 starters in double figures, but particularly pleased to see Mael have ever second great offensive game in a row. We'll need her feeling confident going into the postseason.

Honestly I was just kidding. They can call themselves whatever they want.
Personally I'm partial to Cougars 😀

Maybe you should wait awhile before posting your lols [roll]
This team seems to have staying power even when it looks a little bad.
Well, he's not wrong about a crappy start when we were trailing 21-9 after eight minutes. Shades of the Indiana men's game last week, where both times RU woke up to run away with it. Congrats to the team on a decisive 2nd quarter on to put away the victory!

Sorry, couldn't do the press conference today, but here's a quick recap

Thanks for the continued coverage.
The press conference had quite a speech of high energy by T. Mack (towards the end) in response to a question about confidence. She can outtalk Coach Stringer.

I hope that the link works to get the press conference (scroll down the page a bit):

Sorry if this was answered but they're not making up the missed games are they?

While I am not always thrilled with some of her on court personality, the mens team could use a player with a little more of Tekia Mack's intensity. Not the biggest woman in the world, but she is not backing down from from anyone and is willing to do the dirty work. Also seems like one of, if not the primary leader on the team.

CVS changed to Scarlet Knights when she was hired.

BTN Big Show actually did a report on women’s game - usually only talk about men’s games

The biggest difference this season is the 3 point shooting from four starters which has resulted in the team scoring over 70 points and having impressive wins on the road,The full court pressure defense also is a difference maker because so few teams use that defensive system.

I’ll continue to post the same should they continue to start slow. Thanks!

Agree it's the 3-point shooting; but what makes RU so dangerous offensively is that our best 3-point shooters (Diamond, Arella) are not "just" 3-point shooters. They can both beat you off the dribble and in the mid range, which makes them very difficult to defend. We don't have 3-point specialists, just a bunch of players who can make it from long range.

lol, knew you'd say something like that.
Glad to see you posting about overcoming slow start , later in thread 😁

Like I have said before, don't count this team out when things not going the way we hope they would.
It seems like this team is able to overcome slow starts with good runs later in game.
Slow starts, blown leads are not my faviort viewing , but seeing the team celebrating a win at the end of game puts a smile on my face and brings me to this site to congrate the team and share the enjoyment with other RU Fans that posted , worried or not , while the game was being played and those that joined afterwords
:WooHoo:
