Forgive me if it was already mentioned in the thread….

This morning, I was placing my bet for UK. Yes, shouldn’t gamble on sports, I’m an idiot, blah-blah-blah, but it led me back to this thread and the guy that made all the calls against us. I thought I read that he really likes to call fouls on Reeves. My point is, hard to get your points if you are sitting on the bench. Makes me wonder how much money Vegas won with Reeves not getting his 19.5, or if that ref had Reeves under 19.5. Hopefully we get a better whistle in the tournament.

I thought with our depth a ref would have a rough time cheating us. But Poole picked the one guy that posed the biggest threat to win the game. Would not have thought a lot about it till you watch the replays of the calls and how obvious it was and what the Poole was doing. It looks like all we have to do is send that in and the league office would have to discipline Poole.

Unfortunately that would not work even if UK complained. Of Reeves 4 fouls, one was called by a different ref. I have mixed emotions about that one. Of the 3 called by Poole, in one Reeves did do a bit of a push off. In another Reeves did reach in. Only the 4th foul appeared to be blatantly bad.

One call was blatantly bad and 2 were questionable. I don't think the SEC would give this a second look, to be honest. Having said that, I hope we don't see this ref again during the tournament. It did appear to me that Poole was looking for opportunities to call Reeves for a foul and letting it go when TAMU was doing the same thing.

Wonder if anyone has looked at the previous games he fouled Reeves out and if those calls were questionable.

The reaching in call and the jumping for a rebound call was both horrible. A ref had to be looking to make a call IMO. Reeves looked shocked also. If an honest ref is just horrible he should be taught to err on the side of not making any call if it isn't very obvious. He played a part in their win. Granted, we had the talent advantage big time and the game should not have been close. Getting out coached and then one rogue ref is a lot for even a big talent advantage to overcome.
