Her stats are not out of this world for the 7th best player in the country..

Kate Martin's stats were not out of this world for a second round draft pick.

George Kittle's college stats were not out of this world for him to become one of the faces of the NFL.

Brad Johnson was not all that impressive for mostly riding the bench in college to become a starting quarterback to win the Superbowl.

Was in Quincy last fall for a funeral. Two hours from Iowa City. Great old river town with a lot of history. The sixth debate between Lincoln and Douglas for the Illinois Senate seat took place in Washington Park.

Hope Khloe had a great visit. Michael Payne was from Quincy. He and Greg Stokes from Hamilton, OH were quite the twin towers for the Hawks.
A group of us drove to Quincy to watch Payne and the Douglas brothers in a holiday high school tournament (1981?). Payne played the point of the press. His arms seemed to reach sideline to sideline.

According to the ESPN rankings, there seems to be a lot of Midwestern talent in this class. I personally think Iowa will be one of the top schools in the Midwest for WBB-if not the top school by the time they are seniors, so I like our chances of landing top recruits for 2028.

The one in Muscatine where Maid Rite was founded a 100 years ago.Their cheese-rite sandwiches are made the original way with cheese sauce, great onion rings and the rootbeer floats are awesome. Ate there last fall when we were back for a Hawkeye game.
I ate at one in Davenport, and they bring root beer in a bottle - not the good stuff. But Muscatine had the old 30 gallon (or so) tank with a spicket to fill the glass. And I think the glass was frozen (or close) - Really good stuff!

The Muscatine location uses frosted mugs for their root beer. And the giant root beer barrel is something they always had at their locations in town going back many decades. Unfortunately the only spot left is a location that doesn’t have the same history or vibe as the old downtown one or the one on the south side. But the food is still great.

Also, I highly recommend the “Black Cow”. It is a root beer float with chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla.

Payne played on the same Quincy team as the Douglas brothers. The one played at Illinois and the pro's. No wonder they won state....

I saw Chloe Johnson's Marshall team lost to Greenway's team in the state finals. Greenway had 33 points, 13 assists and 9 boards. Johnson is the real deal, she went over 3,000 points this year. Saw she was wearing CC's shoes.
It would have been nice in Greenway had chosen the Hawks

Greenway shattered the MN state career scoring record with more than 5500 points. Also read wear she holds the state record for most soccer goals also.

I wonder if JJ’s full-court press to sign Jenica Lewis had any effect on MG’s decision. Notre Dame really loaded up with their ‘26 class. In addition to Lewis, they also signed Bella Ragone and Amari Byles who I believe held Iowa offers, as well as a 6ft3 highly ranked F out of Florida.

Greenway didn't sign with Notre Dame.

To add to my previous post I have done some research. We will lose at least five in 2008.

Jan has had a lot of talented 2008 unofficial visitors so far. I used ESPN's rankings. All players named have been offered.

#3 Chloe Johnson - 6' -0" PG - Duluth, MN
#14 Nyajuacni Riak- 6'2" SF - Madison, WI
#17 Khloe Nicholson - 6' 1" WF - Quincy, IL
#2 WI player, Kinsley Ketterhagen - 6'1" CG - Oostburg, WI
#3 MN player, Logan Miller - 6'4" PF - Andover, MN

It was rumored that #25 SF Ari Peterson and #18 Easton McCollough were visiting for Ohio State but I did not see any confirmation.

Other offers who have not visited:

#2 Sydney Douglas - 6'4" PF - CA
#4 Ella Peper - Forward - Mass.
#8 Sutton Villa - 6'6" F/C - Provo, Utah
Leah DeWitt - 5'8" PG - Atlanta, GA (Has a solid offer list)

If any of these players visit, then they could be serious prospects

Does Iowa have a chance with Chloe or not really?
With everything she has gone through with her OCD and mutism struggles, and the fact that she plays for All Iowa Attack, I can see her and her family wanting her to stay a bit closer to home and in a more family team environment. Not so much a pressure cooker. She is also quite religious so she's a good vibe with Jan. I fear she will end up at UConn though.

This was probably posted here before.. She's a tough kid.
