Ross only 225? He aint beating Coby Merrill with that weight difference. Coby looks hungrier and thicker this season. Disappointed by Coby Merrill, hopefully he improves this offseason on his offense.
Jax will be ok. Hamiti loss or injury concern sucks. Hopefully Mckenna and Wyatt do it for us. Else, overall, disappointing tournament.

Romero had two matches. Holman and Hodgins had no matches so far because they're in a smaller bracket.

Saldate, the kid Ronnie beat, won u17 Pan Ams with a fall and 3 techs to get outstanding wrestler of the tournament, so he's no slouch.
Yeah, Ronnie is good…really good. If Jax didn’t come, he would’ve been the starter and would’ve battled to AA.
He was the better guy against Ayala at NDI’s.
Both Robideau's got to the round of 16 with dominating tech falls, Kody Routledge won a close decision. Dreshaun won with a quick tech fall. Hodgins won by tech and Holman won by a quick tech.
Landon in the round of 16 was behind 4 to 0 but came back to tech Grajales. Ramirez won 3 to 1
The ref in Plotts match is a complete idiot. Calling Plott for passivity was an absolute joke.
We have a winner with Wyatt pinning Thomas in 26 seconds. Hodgins and Ross both advanced to the quarterfinals. Ross won by tech. Also Routledge If I remember won by a quick tech. Ladd Holman won by 2nd period tech.
One out of all weights. Super disappointed. Hopefully we get few more at WTT. I'm sure of Jax ability to bounce back, But I dont see anyone else comingand taking the spot. Maybe Hamiti can, but he is not as good in FS as folk.

79kg won't have a WTT for Hamiti. Maybe he can cut down to 74kg but I'm not sure he wants to do that.

Plott and McKenna are set to wrestle true third matches (true second for the tournament) to make the National Team since there's no WTT at those weights. I'm thinking Hamiti is hurt or something since he could have wrestled back to make the team as well.
Plott takes on Shumate (who beat Merrill 8-4) and McKenna takes on Bartlett. Other true third matches will be Keckeisen vs Sinclair, and Wick vs Kennedy. 97kg won't need one as 2nd place Zillmer already beat 3rd place Aiello.

Hodgins and Holman both lose by fall. Hodgins had a back and forth match with Lincoln Jipp, tons of points. Holman was dominating Levi Bussey and was working on a gut wrench when Bussey slipped out of it and caught Holman on his back.
Routledge lost to Haakon Peterson. Was up 3-0 and got taken down and laced twice.

Ramirez wins 3 to 1, Robideau won by medical default I think. Then I saw 3 horrible matches in a row where Routledge is ahead 3 to 0, gets taken down with his legs right together and gets leg laced out of bounds for 4 extra points. Then for a minute and a half behind 6 to 3 he really takes 0 strong takedown attempts and loses. Then Holman would tech his opponent easily but on a gut attempt after 2 successes and ahead 6 to 0 gets caught underneath and gets pinned( Questionable) with the guy just laying on him and he doesn't bail quick. Then Hodgins is ahead but looking weak and staggering around, has a takedown with a little effort but seems to decide to try to expose his opponent and gives up about 6 straight points and loses. I have seen Hodgins do this before and I don't know how to explain his wrestling. Holman is good but just blew it but Hodgins wrestles so bad its stunning. Lousy beginning to today's wrestling.
McKenna’s knee didn’t look great after hurting it on that first TD. Was really favoring it late in that match.
Dreshaun really took it to Bechtold 10-0 tech. Bechtold is ranked 4th on Willie's rankings, nice win.
My question is why they didn't challenge that 4 for Anderson. Looked like 2 to me watching live and the commentator (JD) said the same
Holman and Ramirez were the better wrestlers and both lost.
Ramirez needs to work on his par terre and he wins that one easily. 3 takedowns and no exposure.

I agree Holman is so much better than his opponent and demonstrated it but makes a big mistake and Ramirez has a great shot but loses his balance and or grip and gives up 4. Lincoln loses 8 to 0 to Howard and Landon wins by tech to get to the finals.
