Achol Akot will represent a team Canada at the FIBA 3x3 Nationa Laegue event in Chile starting today. The goal of this event is to gain points to qualify for the 3x3 u-23 World Cup next year.

Pool play starts today at 3:20 PM versus Chile. There will be multiple games for Canada in a rapid fire round robin format. My assumption is Akot will not play in every game from watching USA in the past.

The matches will continue most days through July 3rd. Each day they have a playoff in the evening at 8pm for the top performing teams in pool play.

most (all?) games are on YouTube here

Akot previously represented Canada at the u-19 3x3 World Cup, earning bronze

Nice RL Bynum article (Tar Heel Tribune) on Clardy's decision to join UNC:

I love the talent Kate and Nyla bring to the Tar Heels. So looking forward to seeing some games. This roster has so many possibilities yet to be seen with who is paired with Kate, Nyla,
Achol and Ciera.

Some Harpring clips. Looks like the shoulder is fine.

I told you guys that Kate was 100% ready awhile back. CB stated this as well. Someone on this board question what CB had stated which I thought was dumb. Thanks for the clips. I hope that person who did not believe me or CB watches the clip and I hope that he or she will do some reflection.

Now, if we can get some other top 10 talent to come to the Hill to play along side of these two that will be perfect. One thing that is for sure, DB and Michael Malone are going after the top level talent. Now if we can just get one of those top level talent to commit that will help get the ball rolling.

The new 5 year rule complicates our recruiting this year I think. Maybe so for lots of teams.
We actually do not have a player that has to leave iirc. Different times Lol.

Agree, not only Carolina but a lot of other schools are going to be affected. Long term not sure what the implementations will be on HS recruits, guess time will tell.

1 spot open
I could see a world where maybe a graduating senior is encouraged to seek 5th year elsewhere,
D1 wbb average transfer portal entries per season is over 3, though that is mostly rectified in the portal, not Over recruiting hs.

This is true. The general fact that women college bb players stay in the college game (as it used to be re the men's game) for the duration of their college eligibility (now 5th year included?) allows team building over time and complimentary additions as time passes seasons following seasons. These two offer the staff the opportunity to add comparatively talented options are other positions. FOUNDATIONAL. Rising upward vs any competeton?
