I mean, Kozak just posted the exact same thing that I have said on here, so not sure why you are pursuing this line of thinking. Comparing it to U20 is apples and oranges.

It's fairly obvious to anyone who follows this why they made the change. If you have a gripe with it not being settled on the mat, so be it, but they haven't come up with a good way to do that yet. And why is this just coming up now when everyone knew about it BEFORE the qualification process.
Well a few years ago the guy who was on the ladder top 3 would wrestle the winner of U23 trials for the spot. Nickal did that in Fargo 2019 against Woodley. If no one qualified for that spot wrestling the guy who won the u23 against the next guy would make sense. My opinion that next guy should be Rademacher he was 4th at the open 97kg vs McDanel. Picking just isn't something we do in wrestling

Advocating that they pick Rademacher is a fair take. Not just because he was 4th at the open - that didn't qualify him - but because he has a demonstrated performance in freestyle at the Sr. level. He didn't earn it there, but it is a performance that goes into his resume. If they pick Rademacher over Barr, I will have no complaints. And likewise if they pick Barr over Rademacher - both picks have merit. Much more than McDanel.

That is far different than the conversation that has been going on and what you posted that I responded to. You are just moving the goal posts of your original take.

Hey, I get it. Whatever take that can keep you agitating this board will do. Glad you finally hit on one I can agree with.

Part of me hopes Haines doesn't take 79 and they pick Mesenbrink or Duke to take that weight and Barr to take 97 just to watch heads explode.

Penn State fans should hope everyone turns down U23 as that's where Barr was injured last year.
Levi didn't accept the spot they had to do that by Monday. Luke Jax Bo Landon Jayden all accepted. After them 4th place guys Sinclair Shumate Merrill will fill 86 92 125. It leaves 79 and 97 to be picked. My guess is both spots will be Penn st guys

It was my understanding that people didn't have to accept until after the last Final X.

I think the whole system is a mess! 125 should be Ross at both U20s and U23s. He beat the U23 rep at U20s 2x

To be honest I think the whole age group thing should be by selection. Let USAW pick.the kids that they believe have promise .
