Interesting suggestion. But would Topper make this move 6 games into Crawford's career? That feels like the kind of quick intervention Topper isn't known for.

Ha! Yep, it can happen to the world champs too. 6 games is such a tiny sample size. There's not much point even tracking batting average (which is not the best stat anyway) at this point in a season.

So I was able to sign up for MLBTV Phillies package without blackouts and watching my first game on the big screen and the Phillies have scored 6 runs in the first! An omen, but they are playing on Colorado. Marsh hit a 3 run moon shot

Fun fact… Jansen Visconti is a Penn State grad. I met him at PSU Altoona and we stayed friends throughout college.

He was the home plate umpire yesterday. Did the all-star game last year and has done some playoff games. Great guy.

I remember him becoming a minor league ump shortly after we graduated. This was always his dream. Happy for him.
