So the ref called the stall with 8 seconds left of riding time in favor of blaze. Doesn’t that mean that they go neutral at that point?

He did. I thought he had the takedown anyway.
So did he, but says he knew he wouldn't get it because the power of the brick in that corner is something different. Not using quotes because I need to listen back to it but that's darn close to what he said if not exactly, which I'm sure no one will have any opinions on.

Off topic a bit but I dont want to see what the wrestlers are doing back stage. I want to see what they are doing on the mat. Lets make sure we are catching the wrestling matches ESPN.
The guy walking around with the microphone is a hemorrhoid. No sound on so I don’t know what he’s saying, but he seems to be all about himself. Maybe I’m wrong. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm kind of surprised to see several of you saying that Davino should have gotten the TD (the one tOSU challenged, and didn't get).

I went back and watched the move about 10 times. As a ref, IMHO, it's not a TD.

The ref on the mat didn't call it a TD on the mat.

Because tOSU threw a brick, the official review was done by an independent panel -- not the refs that were on the mat for the match. That panel looked at, and they have more camera angles than are shown on TV, and they concluded it was not a TD.

I keep trying to help you guys in your analysis of TD attempts, in getting you to look for whether control is established. Davino came close to that, but just for a flash, as Blaze hit a roll just as Davino was close to attaining control, and grabbed Davino's legs. So you don't take a freeze-frame picture (mentally) as a ref, and say control was established for half-a-second, so it's a TD. You look at the big picture, and in that Davino did not establish control, as Blaze rolled through and grabbed a leg, and had that leg when the two were out of bounds.

I really don't think it was that difficult of a call for the ref on the mat or for the review panel.

Just my 2 cents

Crazy that McGowan is in the finals after that display in the dual.
