Shoot that jackass into the sun. Tired of his ******** and missing every off the plate slider he’s thrown.
Wish they could have held onto Bader and jettisoned some of the high priced deadweight the team has.
That's disappointing, but it was also expected. Once I learned that it was a mutual option for next year (i.e., both sides could exercise it or decline it), it was pretty obvious that Bader was going to opt out. He did quite well for the Fightins after they acquired him at the trade deadline. He out performed offensively versus his career averages. So while that made him someone the Fightins would have loved to retain, it also makes him quite a valuable FA. And at the age of 31, this may be his last chance to cash in for a lot of money.
As recently as the 2020 season, he was in the pre-Arbritation MLB status, so he only made $590K. In terms of making big dollars, that didn't happen for him until the 2022 season, when as a FA he signed for 2 years at $10.4M per year. He got $10.5M as a FA in 2024, but "only" got $6.25M as a FA in 2025.
MLB.com ranked the FAs (top 30). You can read the article at the below link.
They have:
3. Kyle Schwarber, OF/DH
10. Ranger Suarez, LHP
22. J.T. Realmuto, C
They also have Harrison Bader as an honorable mention.

Who will drive the free-agent market? Top 30 names to watch
Back in August, we took an early look at this year’s free-agent class, identifying 10 players who will likely draw plenty of attention this winter. Following the postseason, we expanded the list to 30, and we are tracking their destinations as they select teams for 2026.

I liked bader but that’s because that was maybe the most productive 3 month stretch of his career.
Yeah. They have to avoid the classic “buy high” trap. Especially, with a complementary piece like Bader.
At the right price bring him back otherwise bring up Crawford.
The way I look at it, if my wife knows he’s gonna swing at that pitch, the opposing pitching coach probably knows too.
The Dodgers, $333m, $103m more than the second-ranked Yankees? Got to be a typo.
I’d love to see it. He was so close to a ring and I’d love to see him get it here.
MLB free agency: Phillies have starting pitching questions, will they add any?
The Phillies are more likely to be targeting starting pitching depth than they are to be swinging for top free agent starters.
