Shawver loses 5-1. Never even got close to scoring unfortunately and couldn’t get out from bottom after being taken down.

Refs and IR has been terrible. Fugitt got screwed against Ayala…no way that was a TD by Ayala especially when Fugitt almost looked like he had the merkle.

This program has hit its peak with Goodale. They should make a statue for him honestly. It's time for him to step down and let a new voice be the lead of this program.

Damn
Team had a solid season in duals.
Hopefully we get this last one
The saving grace of the season was the win over Illinois.. but considering the preseason hype this team got, along with Goodale’s fired up speech n challenge to team preseason… a team leader retiring right before postseason.. gotta wonder if that affected team morale.. now coming away with 0 AA… considering the preseason expectations dunno how this is considered a success or right direction for the program… idk.. bummer….

And that's a wrap on the 24-25 season in uninspiring fashion. Just not seeing this program get any better. We're perpetually stuck at the bottom of the Top 25 to out. This is pretty much it, the best we're going to get under this current regime. While not bad certainly not inspiring being the 9th or 10th best team in the B1G.

It looks like the team is getting a lot of “solid” wrestlers. Guys who can surprise you at any moment. But based on the way the B1G tournament went and getting zero AA’s, it looks like this year’s team lacked consistency and ability to have multiple guys be top 10 wrestlers

We had some very tough draws for this years tournament. No AAs, but a lot to work off from on this. There were a lot of positives. Really the only bad match was Yaras.

Folks, the officiating and reviews did not do in Rutgers this year. The team isn't good enough. We just watched a very disappointing Big Ten tourney performance and then followed that up with a very disappointing NCAA performance.

A 14-5 dual record and #11 Coaches Poll ranking is nice, but meaningless. You had one good dual win against Illinois and eke'ed out a win over Penn. You lost to PSU, OSU, Minnesota, Va. Tech, and NC State. You beat Duke, F&M, LIU, Lock Haven, Princeton, GW, Clarion, Kent St., and Wisconsin. Who cares? Why wrestle bad teams? It doesn't help you improve.

You have no AAs in 2 of the last 3 years. Come on folks. Time to wake up.

"Saving grace"? There is no saving grace. The team isn't good enough. I would have rather lost to Illinois and had a Big Ten champ and 3 AAs. The end of the season was a big disappointment.

Disappointing results today. When is Goodale retiring? Certainly RU will not fire him b/c the program is best in the university, but his program has lost excitement and this area is truly a hotbed for wrestling. With the right new coach, we probably are looking at a top 10 program year in and year out.

Def like our recent recruiting but at the same time when you think about the studs in NJ/PA that go elsewhere you realize how SG is falling horribly short of building a top program. He has some of the top wrestlers in the country in RU’s backyard, many of which have trained at SK Club, yet we get little more than a courtesy look.

Hey … at least we are ranked.

Sorry bio you are disappointed and don’t meet your standards. Maybe we should blame the lack of NIL where we can’t buy : or 4 AAs like Iowa or Michigan

You know those kids will never come here when their HS coaches, teammates, club coaches, and parents all tell them to go elsewhere.

Well, is it an NIL thing?

No one is asking for that. But we can't even sniff the top 15 let alone the mythical Top 10 recently, meanwhile teams with much less resources and infrastructure are finding good wrestlers who can AA. Something is not working when I see a Purdue or Penn, 14 to 15 places higher than us.

I get where you are coming from Bill and I do contribute to NIL, specifically for the wrestling program only. Yes, we will never have NIL money like the bluebloods, but I don't think that you can't see this season's ending as anything but a major disappointment. Plenty of other non-blueblood schools will have AAs this year. Rutgers has zero AAs, for the 2nd time in 3 years.

I know that you and others on here are big boosters and supporters of the team, and I am too. But I am also a realist. I don't really see how any of us can be happy about this season's conclusion honestly.
