that we did. though my normal optimism was sorely tested in the 4th qtr. The Sixers went into a couple minute funk of playing isolation with Jojo outside the 3-arc, or George singled inside, and absolutely no other movement. I was screaming at the TV to have Maxey drive to the basket. Fortunately, when things were getting pretty tense, Maxey did that 2 straight plays, and hit clutch layups. (He semi did it a 3rd time, but pulled up and missed the jumper.)
Having lived through more painful defeats to the Celtics in the playoffs than most Sixers fans, I savor any playoff series victory over them, especially a 7th game victory at the Garden.

Huge win for the Sixers especially given their past struggles with Boston in the playoffs. Caught a break with Tatum out and took advantage. The Celtics clearly caught a break with Embid out the first 3 games of the series. That's sports.
The better team won, that much is clear. Maxey was the real difference maker, one of my favorite players ever, White just could not keep up with him.
NYK-Sixers will be very high-scoring, I do presume. Maxey >> Brunson, very much so, Brunson cannot cover Maxey.

Game 1 was a mess for the Sixers. They went long stretches where they couldn't hit a 3, while at the other end the Knicks went long stretches where they couldn't miss a 3.
I would have liked a few more days to celebrate, recover, and prepare for the Knicks. But, the NBA had different ideas regarding the schedule.

Getting the NYK bigs into foul trouble is a big strategic point for Philadelphia. The 76ers could beat Boston without Embiid, but not NYK.
