How many games are we realistically winning in the B10 this season? 3-4 maybe 5? Does Rhoades survive after this season? We have an NIL budget that is at $6 million vs an average of $9 million for the B10? What is any coach going to do?
And we really need some depth at the guard position.
My guess is that he is the first guard off the bench.
Rodgers, Blums (led Davidson in scoring, 77 made 3's at 40%), Byers, Zecevic (unless one of the other Euros gets here) and then Juric. When I talked to the staff last month they really did not want to play Byers at the 4, it was a big reason they convinced him to come. I could definitely see a line up that had him at the 4 and Bowen in as part of a 4 guard look.
He's going to do what was mentioned earlier in the thread. Pay 10 players instead of 14 players and hope that's good enough.
That's a good pull for Mike Bibby and Sacramento St. He should have a good season in the Big Sky.
Bowen was a real nice late pick up. They don’t want to play Byers at the 4 but I’m guessing it may be a solid offense if he is.

Wow, I agree. They need to drop five or six different sports, those alone won’t help the basketball program. They never should’ve built the fancy field hockey, soccer and lacrosse stadiums as well.
If the average for a Big Ten basketball team is 14 million in NIL money our team better be able to get at least 10 million and they don’t have half that.
Kraft is not doing his job by ignoring fundraising for hoops. Unacceptable to have this lackadaisical attitude. Rhoades will mail it in this year, get fired and get a job somewhere that cares about hoops. Meanwhile we won't be able to hire a coach. No decent coach in their right mind would come to PSU.

I'm feeling better about this team with both Juric and Reed returning.
Rogers at PG is a bit of a concern coming from Central Connecticut to the BiG.
- Bowen will back him up.
Blums could be a respectable SG
Buyers at SF proved himself to be a great shooter last year for Miami Ohio
Reed came on strong last year for PSU so I assume he'll start at the other SF position.
- Prkacid is the first off the bench at SF. I don't know his game will translate to the BiG.
Juric was excellent as a freshman and he should improve.
That's a small team without a bonafide rim protector. I guess Oboh will fill that role but it's a big step up from UB. We'll have some better shooters but neither PG has shown a lot of offense at smaller schools.
