So in a 6 week period we play
Ohio State
UCLA
USC
WISC
Iowa
And earlier that year we play Michigan.
Can someone tell me why scheduling 3 guaranteed wins to start the season doesn’t make sense?
The SEC is probably laughing at the Big10 for bringing in USC/UCLA/Oregon/Washington
We just took a tough enough conference and made it pretty much impossible to navigate undefeated.
The patsies up front give you easy wins but also allow your starters to get less wear and tear on their bodies.
In those 6 games, how much playing time will our backups get?
That’s a rough stretch.

Can we please replace CU with someone else? I don't want to see that clown show in Lincoln.
we're 2-18 against those teams over the past decade.
so no, until those start becoming wins, they're clearly tough games.
can't let them have the last laugh. the fact they're on a 3-0 streak against us is embarrassing as is. must-win game next year.
I hope trev continues to make a concerted effort to schedule our old Big 8/12 foes into the future

OSU looks to be the only major hurdle if we get QB play squared away and an RB of some sort.
Thanksgiving is on 28th..Dude.
USC is saving that Saturday after Thanksgiving for Notre Dame..

right, and "not good" teams are still tough games for bad teams. do we have a better record than either of them at this moment? hope we beat both this year, and think its possible, but they're easy games yet.
Yeah we aren't in a position to say they are easy games when they have owned us for a decade. I just hope we can beat them this year and win the west

i'd be understanding of a Wisconsin loss, but super disappointed at an Iowa loss
Can’t wait. Our D next year is going to be nasty. We return everyone except Reimer and Omar Brown (although we will probably lose a couple to the portal).
As for the offense… As much as I hated losing Gabe Ervin, Rahmir Johnson, Marcus Washington, IGC, Kemp, Corcoran, Piper, and Nouili… I’m equally as excited about the progress of Malachi, Emmett Johnson, JE Jenkins, J Doss and J Lloyd.
Looking at that schedule, crazy but we could start 7-0 and end up 7-5. Honestly I think we get back to 9 wins next year IF we have a good offseason in the portal.
Most excited I’ve been for the direction of our program since 2010. Rhule is our guy. GBR!

Would have liked Wisconsin and Illinois switched and not had the same last two teams back to back two years in a row..

Yes it is. The COO of the Big Ten said on the BTN Network today that Nebraska / Iowa will play on Black Friday and the Big Ten will have an additional Black Friday game as well. He also mentioned that Big 10 playing games on the Thursday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend, not sure when that will start
Labor Day weekend being in August is also the reason for 2 byes. Happens every 5 years or so.
Actually love that schedule. Should be 7-0 going into OSU. A winnable non-conference to start the season, a mid-season bye, and a late bye. End is tough but if we aren't good enough to win some of those games after the first 7 games it won't matter anyway.
NU basically picked the score vs Iowa at Iowa last year. Iowa was so bad that KF forced their starting QB to fake an injury so he could put in the backup and not get his son canned. They REFUSED to put their "star" DB on Palmer because they knew it would going to result in the police being called for assault and battery, their "star" LBer was so scared of being outrun by Thompson that he literally stopped and froze, letting CT throw an 80 yard TD.
NU owns that ***.
