And everyone thought once SVN got hurt that this was out of reach. It’s just incredible and the fact that Kasak could be a pretty deciding factor in them breaking the record is the icing on the cake.
what time is the next round???

Do Bernie and Tyler wrestle their final matches this session or is that this evening?

Tough break. Bernie went on defense there. He’s one that must stay on his offense. Hopefully can get us a Bonus for 5th place.

He was a 19 yo true freshman wrestling on the big stage for the first time. His seeding, quite honestly stunk. His first opponent was a redshirt senior with a massive pedigree and boatloads of experience on this stage including All-American status. On top of that, he thought he was winning his side of the bracket and avenging his losses to Lovett in the finals. The first match was a wake up call. He is on point now and avenged that loss. Finishing top 4 as a true freshman is nothing to sneeze at. People forget that Zain got fifth his true freshman year. He then redshirted and came back a completely different animal. Tyler will be just fine.
Oh yeah. He’s wrestling up a weight also. Not a small obstacle.

Waters pinned Parco. Waters vs Kasak for third. They’ve wrestled before at PIAA championships. Waters can be a little funky, if I am remembering correctly.

Watters is good. Believe he's a high action guy. Should be a fun match.

Byers with a good point. At 149, for 5th place, you have #1 seed Ridge Lovett (Nebraska) taking on #2 seed Kyle Parco (Arizona St.) If the weight class had gone chalk, this would have been the final tonight.
