For me, Chelsea = Michigan. I should probably hate other teams more, such as Spurs (being a Gooner) and Ohio State. But, I don't. I can't stand Chelsea. I love that they are a mess, their owner has no idea what he's doing, they overpaid for useless players (Mudryk). I know it would be better for Newcastle to concede a bit here, but I can't help it. Pour it on, magpies. Pour it on.

I was watching OSU-UM and forgot about the Arsenal match, checked my phone and saw it was 0-0 at 88’, cursed, clicked to USA, and caught the goal at 90’. Brentford 0-1 Arsenal, full time.

And Rashford hit a rocket. To my eye it seemed to be far more of a rocket than what you normally see.

He’s had 1 goal this year after last year. All 3 forwards scoring is a big deal for United. The biggest thing today was the play of Mainoo in the middle of the pitch. So composed for an 18 year old.

That was an amazing goal. I suspect even @RyanSnyder appreciated it, even if it was against his Everton team.

So this is the play that took place in stoppage time of the Man C. - Spurs match that had the Man C. players so riled up, and has received so much discussion in the press and on social media.



One of the commentaries I saw indicated that the only explanation, and the commentator didn't actually believe it, was that the ref (Simon Hooper) didn't see that Haaland's play was to Grealish, as he lost site of Grealish, and thus he awarded the foul.

I think that's a possible explanation, considering where the ref was. Another, which I haven't seen mentioned, is that it appears that Grealish was offsides (it was close), and as such the AR may have communicated to the Hooper that Grealish was offsides, so Hooper then blew for the foul, as there was no advantage when Haaland played to a teammate in an offside position.
