Michigan dominated the 1st qtr. PSU played much better in the 2nd qtr.

Both teams are really good in all facets of the game. The D for both teams has really done a great job of limiting the goal opportunities of the opponent. If I recall correctly, each team only had 1 good goal scoring change in the 1st half.

Should be a good 2nd half. I've got something to go to, so I'll miss the 4th qtr, and probably some of the 3rd qtr.

Michigan goes up 1-0 in the 3rd qtr as they were awarded a stroke (equivalent of a PK in soccer), and converted.

Phia is so good at this shot. Michigan gave her very little room in the first 3 quarters of the today's game.

PSU faces a tough path in NCAAs.

UNC is the 1 seed, NW is the 2 seed, Maryland is the 3 seed, and Michigan is the 4 seed. Those 4 schools host 1st & 2nd round matches.

PSU will face Louisville in R1, @ Michigan. PSU faced Louisville @ Penn State early in the season (Aug. 28), and lost 2-1. If PSU gets past Louisville, they'll face the winner of the Michigan - Albany R1 match (likely #4 seed Michigan), @ Michigan.

If PSU were to win their 2nd round match, that would propel them to the semifinals. Unless there is a huge upset, they would face #1 seed UNC in the semis.

Only 18 teams make NCAAs in FH, and 4 of them are in pigtail matches (or play-in matches).
