They always want to put us at the bottom, first time in a while that they have. Usually we're a couple spots below where we should be. To put OM and Arky ahead of us is comical.

I agree. I always hear Rodney Dangerfield in my head when seeing, hearing, or reading our predicted season.

Ole Miss under 6.1 looks like free money. They should be double digit underdogs for Baylor in Houston, Auburn, @ LSU, Alabama, Florida, & @ A & M - so they have to win one of those 6 plus MSU, @ Arkansas, & @ Vandy above 6. Hell I am giving them SEMO, UCONN, & Georgia Southern which might be a stretch.

Mississippi State over 4.6 looks pretty manageable also. New Mexico, Tulane, and Alabama A & M should be gimmes - you just need 2 of @ NC State, Arkansas, Missouri, & @ Kentucky to get to 5. I think we win at least 6-7 this fall.

I think that's a pretty good over/under if you ignore coaching. We lost a good bit of talent off a team that went 6-6. Hell, 4.6 might be overly generous.

With coaching, I would probably put the over/under at 6 and take the over, but there's a lot of unknowns about how we adjust to the new coaching and scheme and we have some potential toss up games early on.

Was this done “before” Joe Mo left?****

We upgraded at QB and Wide Receiver by simple subtraction. We upgraded at HC before we made a hire by simple subtraction.

Mississippi about 1.0 too high & MSU about 1.0 too low. The rest look pretty good at first glance.

Us getting to six wins and making another bowl game would be a solid first season for Leach. Anything better than that is gravy- and I think the addition of Costello gives us a good chance of getting to 6-7..

I do think we are better than 4.6 wins. Not sure what FPI sees in Arkansas or Ole Miss that makes their formula think those teams will be better than us. Probably some recruiting ranking ********.

Auburn at more than 9 wins? HAMMER the under with all their lost on the OL and DL. If Jimbo doesn’t win 9+ this year at A&M, they will get really restless.

Not having an offseason to implement an offense that features 80% passing is scary as ****. I feel like we should win 8 games if we had a full offseason to implement our stuff. Not being able to practice may hurt us more than anyone, no matter how simple our offense is to learn. You can’t replace reps and our receivers haven’t been able to catch for a while.

Yeah, I MIGHT be able to see 4.6 if Hill has stayed in the draft and Costello had never come here. With those guys, though, anything less than 5 wins could be considered an absolute disaster of a season. Also, everything else aside, what in the Sam Hill would cause anyone to like Arkansas’ chances better for next year?

With us, I agree completly. Sure, if we were to play, we would struggle at times. But NC State, Missouri at home, Ole Miss, Arkansas at home, UK.....wow. There are at least 3 wins in there. The likelihood we lose 4 of those 5 is absurd and discounts upsets like like A&M or Auburn. Bama and LSU are so improbable it's fair to write them off.

But ESPN isnt backing the bet so, my guess is you wouldnt see this as a bet in Vegas. Our over and under should be 5.5 and that even feels low.

Projected wins, meh.
I'll be happy if the team simply looks prepared.

Agree.

For example, on our first offensive possession, let's run the first play without taking a time out or a having pre-snap penalty.

Chad Morris being gone lol.

Nah, I was surprised Arkansas wasn’t last too, we probably should be until proven otherwise. I could see the offense being pretty solid but defense is still a few years away at least from not being one of the worst in the SEC.

LSU at under 10 seems like a no-brainer. No more Burrow, Joe Brady, Dave Aranda, and plus they lost more draft picks than any other year in their history. I just don’t see Myles Brennan leading them to double digit wins.
