He was a freshman who started on the varsity. He really does look like a very good shooter and passer.

He seems to be a decent player for his age. It is hard to get an assessment from Freshman year highlights. Junior year and it will be easier.

Kind of looks like McClung type of competition.

He is a freshman in HS. I look forward to seeing his tape in a couple years.

Does anyone know when the HS season starts?I live close to Ranney School. I wanted to see if I could see a Ranney/Don Bosco Prep game and see Harper Jr. play. HS basketball great.

We ster practice the Monday of thanksgiving week with scrimmages a week or so after . Most teams first games will be on Friday December 15th

Thanks for the update. If you play any teams in Monmouth County, drop a line. It would be great to see your team play.

We would only play a team from Monmouth in states as of right now unless something gets added . Would love to check out Ranney too this year if I get a chance . Maybe in a showcase in north jersey .

We play some Monmouth teams in the Linden summer league like Middletown North , Long branch , Rumson and Point Pleasant but none during season usually .

Yep, I remember my shot and just about everyone else in my grade as skinny freshmen....a two hand push shot until we got bigger and strong enough to jump, raise the ball up over our head to release it off your finger tips. That's what happens to most players as part of the normal process, regardless if they are a D1 prospect or not.

The only thing that matters is that his shot goes in and it will continue to go in as he transitions to releasing it off his fingertips.
