Throw Boston in if we’re actually dreaming. Anything else would be icing on the cake

Want Cunningham over Cooper, if he would just learn to push the ball every possession. Would be the best combo in this class, he already has very good size and intangibles..

Mine based off what I’ve seen so far and seems realistic..
PG: Cade Cunningham
SG: Terrence Clarke (99% reclass)
SF: Jalen Johnson
PF: Isaiah Todd
C: Makur Maker and Cliff Omoruyi
Give me these and let’s call it a day
Get Juzang and him Brooks and a couple more come back that would be an incredible team.

Boston , Johnson and Todd IMO will be cats. Not sure about the rest. Could see cliff being part of the class too.

UK usually has about a 6 man class so I’ll go with:

Jalen Johnson
Cade Cunningham
Brandon Boston
Isaiah Todd
Makur Maker
Clifford Omoruyi

Figure UK will have lost after next season Richards, Montgomery, Hagans, Maxey, and Whitney, Sestina. At least.

Boston , Johnson and Todd IMO will be cats. Not sure about the rest. Could see cliff being part of the class too.

Duke is coming on hard for Brandon Boston, really hope Cal can sign Omuryoui. Would really like to see some post depth come in off the bench and make an impact, not just hit and miss like Richards and Montgomery does. Usually most good Final Four and championship teams have consistent post depth coming off the bench..

Could totally see most of that team return, only thing is would a sophomore Brooks be better than the freshman in the 2020 class. Their is some high major impact players coming out of that class..

I have no idea what this thread is about. Judging the responses, nobody else does either

Todd
Clarke
Johnson
These three are all I care about.

Most likely land Clarke and Todd, know Todd really likes North Carolina as well. But Kentucky can get him, especially with playing time available. North Carolina will have 2 seniors, a junior, and a sophomore Fighting for time at the 4 and 5 spots. Johnson really likes Kentucky, but their is alot of forces pushing Duke on him, will be interesting to see how much Duke really can compete with Kentucky without the all mighty dollar coming through for Duke, recruitment has alot of Knox feel to it.. For as Clarke, if he goes 2020, he is 100% Kentucky bound..

Springer is maybe my favorite player in this class, so he’d be on any list of have. But that seems a lock for Roy.

Get EJ and Nick back add Blackshear and MacDaniels then have 10 guys in the 2020 NBA draft. That's my dream.

Man that would be a killer class. What would be the chances of a Jonathan Kuminga reclass?

Along with 2-3 of the best Freshmen and a highly skilled lower rated freshman or two, give me (basically any year):

SG: Best Grad Transfer (shooting roughly 40% 3-pt.)
C/PF: Best Grad Transfer (8 +rpg, 80% FT%, 37% 3-pt.%)

++ Maybe a Regular Transfer [SG (shooting a potential strength) and/or PF (rebounding in traffic a potential strength)]

All of your dream classes look great & possible. Until Duke starts passing out the keys for $million dollar homes.

It's too early to say. At one point, I hoped our 17-18 haul would be Trey Young, Michael Porter Jr, DeAndre Ayton, Lonnie Walker, John Petty and Jarred Vanderbilt.

You have a good point about how things change from end of Jr year into summer camps of a kids recruitment when things really start getting real but....
1. We were never in the Ayton talks IMO.
2. Trae Young was the #1 PG for us...but he always a "Stay Home" or "UK" verbiage from the get go.
3. Michael Porter was the top SF in that class....I never felt we were the top school for him and then when the deal with his family went down...it was 100% Mizzou for that reason alone.
4. I thought for sure we'd get Petty....but he was from Bama and we always knew we'd have the same hill to climb with him that we did Trae Young.
5. Lonnie Walker seemingly wanted a UK offer and it seemed like we never felt as strong toward him.
6. We got Vanderbilt in the end.

I think the kids so far mentioned are not a hometown vs. UK scenario. But Jalen Johnson and Duke makes me lack confidence with our batting percentage recently.

The thing with nearly all of those kids is that they got paid, or their parents got hired.

That kept us out of the Ayton race, I agree, and I think we stopped pursuing Young because he was so iffy that we needed a sure thing *and* Cal thought Quade would bring Bamba, who we needed with Ayton being paid. Except Bamba got paid too.

Like the way you think. Throw in a developmental guard who is fast and can defend, someone who would be like a Dom Hawkins and stay around to be in his role. BTW, I have no damn clue who this player is/would be, but that's what I'd add to give team a role player to defend smaller/faster PG and to be in place when next crop of players comes in '21.

I think a guy like Wendell Green at LaLu, Shemar Ratan-Mayes and Orangeville Prep, or Nijel Pack at Lawrence Central could fit the bill and are all players we have some type of previous connection with.

Question is, do guys from programs like that want to come be 4-year developmental guys at UK?

Think the bigger question is will they be willing to accept a role for the first year? If not, then you can find a quick/smaller guard--Hawkins was a good athlete and played a nice role in the '14 Tournament for spot minutes and by time he was a Sr, he was a major contributor.

My basketball "crush" on Makur Maker is growing. Read an update from Josh Gershon of 24/7 that stated he avg 19 and 8 on 29-42 FG and 8 for 13 from 3pt line. Buzz with coaches was is he in contention for #1 in the class of '20.

UK is in very good position for Makur Maker from what I've heard recently. Really want to see him with Cal/Kenny Panye and see where they can take his game. The great thing about today's game is players don't fear playing with size as long as they are versatile. He fits with how game is being played.
