I don't see much more than 6-7 impact players.. because I also don't think we're going to lose as many. 1 or 2 guys always come back. Be it Hagans, or Dakari, or Jones, etc..

Better believe Cal is gonna leave a spot open for Terrence Clarke in case he reclassifies. That dude is phenomenal.
I'd love to get Clarke too but if Boston (already committed) Christopher and Green commit to UK does he come? And who plays PG Christopher? If Quickley returns maybe he and Christopher are enough.

Jonathan Kuminga has a brother who transferred to Texas Tech. Don't know if that will make a difference in where he goes.

Kuminga is going to play at Trinity Prep in Dallas area--Deion Sanders is involved with school (remember Prime Prep) and UA affiliated which Texas Tech is as well. This week Kuminga played with Mudiay Elite (another UA program).

We'll see how things unfold, but sure isn't looking bad for Tech right now. Kuminga wouldn't even have visited UNLV if his brother stayed out there.

It all depends on how many guys wait until April or May next year. Doubt all these guys commit to UK until they see what spots open up. I saw a 2020 mock draft lately that had 2 UK players on it. We ll see...

Already have 3 open spots before anyone has to leave. Sestina is 4, Maxey/Hagans and you are up to 6, Richards is going to go no matter what after this year--7, Montgomery likely to follow suit--8....so that leaves Quickley, Allen, Whitney, Brooks, Juzang--and if you think they and pretty good bet at least 2 of them are gone.

He’s not. Neither is Clarke.

Kentucky's system allows several guys to have the ball/create offense if you are capable---Herro, Monk, Knox, Murray, Booker, Goodwin, etc....all were given green light to create offense/have ball in hands.

You’re right we ll have the space but look how Ejs return likely affected mcdaniels. Probably the same with blackshear. I doubt any of these guys on the radar want to be 3 deep at one spot. It would be nice to fill out a roster and have some long term talented players but that isn’t the case with Cal. We just don’t know until the season plays out. What happens if player is injured we assume will go?? Like I said there aren’t a lot of guy projected in the 2020 draft from UK.

Not saying you are wrong, but I don't care where players are projected in NBA Draft for 2020 right now. Nobody but the players/coaches know how they've practiced, prepared, etc....but some guys are going to go because they know what it is coming in terms of talent of '20 and beyond.

I've been told and think it's obvious others have as well this is going to be a great class both in terms of numbers and talent. I'm thinking it'll be like the '13 class signed which was 8 players.

But you are absolutely correct in letting things play out, but also means it's not all negative. I would add not all departures would be for NBA--could see some Transfers too--as we did with Baker this past year.

Definitely the nba draft is a toss up. Like you said earlier naz Reid, bol bol. They’re lottery picks at UK or at very least first rounders. If we lose 8 players cal will find solid replacements for them. It’s not a negative it just seems how cal does things. Locks up a few in early signing period, maybe a guy mid season, then the post season finds top tier talent to fill gaps based on who goes and stays.

Yeah that is downside to being in on so many talented wings. Prob the best 2 will be reclass guys in Clarke and Kuminga and looks like we may be done by then.

well. you better tell Joel Justus that Cal doesn't plan on Green playing the 1. Cause that's what he's telling the kid.
I think that Memphis troll is trying to say we're not getting Green or Clarke. He was responding to the "if he comes here" part of the post from the poster he quoted.

Maybe that’s because not a lot of teams are depending on one and done. Give Cal Dukes roster from last year and I like his chances.
Exactly. Not getting to the FF when you have a generational talent, two transcendent talents and a top 10 point guard, when you are "the greatest coach of all time"… ..tells me, he's not the greatest coach of all time. That team was beat in round of 32 and the sweet 16 and got lucky that balls rolled off the rim.

If K can't get THAT team to the FF, he certainly won't do it with any other one and done roster.

No way they sign nine guys in one class. No chance. 7 is a realistic number.

IMHO the only guys I think are 100% gone after next year are Hagans, Montgomery and Sestina. I'd guess we more than likely lose Maxey and Whitney, but stuff happens, you never know. Toss in one of the guys I think are 50/50 and I say we lose 5 to 6 guys for draft/graduation.
