Are they changing at all? Personally I hated last year's. We looked too similar to Wisconsin and all the other red teams in the B1G.
Don't think they are changing a bit. Total crap and another stab at our traditional looks.

I had not seen white helmets worn in 60 years.
Did I mention we wore scarlet hankies on our heads in the very first game EVER played ?? They certainly weren't white.... unless it's important to rewrite football history.

Agree about being too similar to Wisconsin. Mainly due to the white helmets and the shoulder stripes. Actually thought I would like them at first but "seeing is believing".....ugh.

I have always had the ideal uniform in mind. One that serves as a tribute to the great teams of Rutgers U.

Red Helmet - white mask - our current white R with black piping (00-18)
(maybe a sole 2" white stripe down the center - 1976)

Jerseys - Imagine Indy Colt jerseys in red and white - similar to the unbeaten 1961 team. (red at home - white on the road) Necks and sleeve ends keep the color of the main jersey. Our current "R" at the base of the Vee Neck.

The numerical font must be a true block style. Classic squared, cut numerals.

Pants - white only - Two thick bold red stripes on the side (unbeaten 1976)

Shoes - white - with white crew socks (had an Army fan say that we had a look of speed with them)

Fans will argue the color Scarlet. Maybe 5% of the world is aware of the bright shade of red.... some think red... some think blood red... some think crimson. When we damn near upset unbeaten, NC Alabama 13-17 in 1980 the reds for each team were almost exactly the same.

I prefer a nice deep blood red.... no one will know any better. lol

Tradition. Did you know that at Notre Dame when you are assigned a number to wear, the player is also given a list of players that once wore that same number. The top of the sheet says "Wear This Number Proudly"

Speaking of number tradition, the lax team has a "jersey legacy club". Anyone who wore that number can get linked up to the person that wears it now. It's a pretty cool thing. I wonder if the football team does something like that.
