Who knows who will start and who won't, especially the freshmen, we haven't seen one of them, outside of a YouTube highlight video or an all-star game with no defense.

I do know this, if Richards and Diallo return, the likelihood that they'll start is about 90%, ask Isaiah Briscoe, Cal has proven to stick with guys who return and he certainly didn't take Richards/Diallo out of the starting 5 all season (the Twins as well).

Now that's funny. This board went NUTS saying Duke was the only school in the country he could have gotten eligible for so fast.
I'm guessing UK fans weren't the only ones who felt that way.

I get where you're coming from with your argument, and you're probably not completely off with it. But the problem UK fans had with Bagley was that it seemed like a big part of Duke's recruitment of Bagley was telling him that they could get him eligible by September.

Why should his eligibility have anything at all to do with where he attended college? How is it even possible for one school to have a better "plan" for getting him eligible than any other school?

A player should be eligible, or not, and where he attends college shouldn't have anything to do with it beyond that college accepting that player as a student. And yeah, the fact is that almost no elite athlete goes through any kind of regular admissions procedure, at Duke, at UK, or anywhere else. But the college has NOTHING to do with the player's HS academic background, so if he's eligible at one place, he should be eligible at every other place.

With Bagley, it didn't seem like that was the case.

I didn't even want to go to Bagley, but was called names because I don't like the reclassification stuff. Only an idiot would do that. And then, of course, there were the tough guys that piled on like only cowards do.

Does this mean Green is transferring?

I think it’s a strong indication. You won’t see Green and Maxey together on the roster this year. It’s just too crowded. It’s one or the other.
Personally, on paper I’d prefer Green but I can’t blame Cal if Green is looking at leaving. Can’t be held hostage.

I don’t buy that Tucker is just now finding out about this, as it wasn’t hard to connect the dots after Tucker said possibly two more additions, one in HS and on a transfer; then Matt Jones said the one in HS was a guard; and Tucker really made repeated mentions of his story about Maxey last week.

I think Cal wants a loaded 2015 type team, and then that type of talent and depth could lead to more than usual returning the next year, and repeat cycle.
I feel the same way.

I told you guys we aren't going to have trouble scoring the ball next year. With Knox gone the defense for this team is immensely better. If Quade isn't in the equation it's got the chance to be otherworldly special next year. On top of that Diallo didn't exactly give 100% on that end either. Can we just make it Midnight Madness already.

Not sure if Johnson can play the 4, but if we lose Washington, Vanderbilt, and Gabriel, we might see a lot of 4 guard lineups, especially if we add Maxey:

G Hagans
G Quickley
G Maxey
G Johnson
F Montgomery/Richards

We would still have Herro and Baker on the bench for depth.

We still need that grad transfer to give us some depth inside, if that happens.

Hopefully we get all three of Washington, Gabriel, and Vanderbilt back and don't have to worry about depth in the frontcourt.

I really don't think we lose all 3. 2 possibly, more likely just 1. But a grad transfer is likely unless all 3 decide to be back.

Give me a break, tough guy. Many across the country agree with me. These kids are cutting High School short and barely even going to college. It wouldn't hurt us at all if it was stopped across the board.
Why? Since when is a college education the best thing in the world for everybody?

Does this mean Green is transferring?

Probably. These 5-star guards only want to reclassify in order to be in the next NBA draft. So they are only going to pick a school that's going to guarantee them a starring role. If Green stays, he will barely play next year because better players will be ahead of him.

During this season people complained when green was hurt and we didn’t have baker, why doesn’t Cal being in more guards and use schollys...... Now he is doing just that and people complain we have too many. Interesting
Some people will ***** if you give them a new rope to hang themselves...
