is no Gavitt game definite?

Not definite but probable. Each Big Ten team is contracted to play at least four games. Unless Michigan State gets some kind of exemption because of the Champions Classic, they'll have to play in the next four.

Of the other 13 teams, six have played three times and seven have played two times.

So it makes logical sense that next year will be Michigan State and the seven teams that have only played two games.

Agree with Bac on 2020 tourneys. I know the non conference schedule is only about ten games, but they are a critical ten games to form when you want to be a bubble team.

I wish Pike didn’t always down play the non conference scheduling. When asked about it, His typical answer is the same every time. Paraphrased- it’s out of my control a lot now with 20 conference games, and we play in the best league in the country so I don’t worry about that.

Coach will worry about it if we don’t increase our competition in 2019-20 and he thinks 18/19/20
Wins regardless of how they come is good enough

We need an uptick in OOC schedule for next year so that we improve our SOS. As others have said, we could be on the bubble next year, and I’d rather not see a Nebraska 2018 situation where we lose a bid because of poor SOS.

I think $ is going to drive a lot of this. Holding your own fake tournament means 3 extra gates where season ticket holders pay for the game and beer revenue.

Agree that it needs to be improved going forward. But this year's was better than previous years... however the ranking is flawed for this season because Miami is so much worse than expected.

I believe it was a 5 year deal with Fordham but a poster mentioned that the series will end early after this years game. At UMASS should remain, at least an opportunity for a road win

yuck...there is no benefit to playing them..none, its a horrible program in the A10 that will always be a horrible program and will be a drag on OOC sos...hopefully PIke can get out of this deal. we already are playing a bad UMass..albeit if its on the road it will be a Q3 game.

Guess the same reasoning doesn't work with the UMass football game. Forgot, we're now a basketball school. $$$$

A five-year contract with a non-rival in basketball is insane... who does that??

Thanks Eddie/Tim/Julie, whoever's responsible for that one.
