I have also read though that Garland and Jones have been seriously talking about playing with each other and I definitely know Tre Jones isn't considering Vandy!
Carter is a lock. Bagley, if we get him, would be a lock too.
Duval is most likely gone, most "way too early" mocks have him outside the top 10, so there's that.
Trent more than likely will be gone too, but definitely wouldn't consider him a lock.
Bolden, I wouldn't be shocked if he's gone, I wouldn't be shocked if he is here 4 years, total wildcard.
And so it begins......mid July and we're already talking about who's leaving early geez.
The old crystal ball predictions at 247 have Garland as almost a lock to Vandy. Ha.
Meh. There's some good guys on 247, I know a few, but 1.) Garland has been pretty guarded with his recruitment and 2.) a lot of people with good knowledge feel Duke is the leader. Vandy's surge is manufactured IMO.
Preparation for who leaves usually predetermines who comes.
Its never too early unless they change the rules for declaring for the league. The wild card is always playing time and chemistry.

Not to mention. Outside the shocking Bagley news, this is a very dead period for college hoops.

For us as fans, maybe not, but the staff they should've been thinking about this a year before they recruited the current class.
And since guys aren't sticking around for 4 anymore, you almost have to get to know these guys as juniors in high school. Otherwise they never feel like they were there.
I feel like the only way Garland would choose Vandy is that he just simply wants to be close to home, which I can understand.
Same here. Drew is a good coach but Garland won't get what he wants there.

Let's not get to carried away about this final 6 thing. Of course these top prospects aren't going to list unc as favorites because hof coach roy williams has already told them they aren't unc material. OFC
After the way RJ Barret played during U19 World's, I would be 100% shocked if he didn't re-classify. I think you can make the argument that he should be our #1 target.

Do you by chance know where exactly we stand with Reddish and Barrett(if he reclassifies to next years class)? They are the two that I want the most for next years class and obviously I want Tre Jones, but I pretty much know where we stand with Tre.My prediction on Duke's class next year:
