If we don't start out 7-1 or better, Dana will be fired on Nov. 24th after having a four game losing skid to end the season and being blown out on senior night. But if he does start out 7-1, our AD will settle again for mediocrity.

Personally, I think we made a mistake scheduling up. Tennessee, even with their current troubles AND NC State in the same year is a bit much for where Dana has this program at the current time. Until we show we can truly be in the mix for a big 12 championship with a shot for the playoffs, scheduling up in the Big 12 is kind of dumb.

I know they made this schedule years ago thinking the offensive genius would have us in a spot to contend for a national title by now. Obviously, they were wrong.

11 Power 5 schools (1 OOC neutral site, 1 OOC away, and 9 conference)
6 home games

That is the 1st time ever. Bet that's a top 5 SOS

Dana will not be fired. Can't afford to pay 2 coaches 6 million plus combined.

He will be here for 3 more years. If AD feels he is not capable then he will be let go. So you would rather play 3 little piggies of the FCS.

Those games are the games one I wish I could opt out of. It's why I loved playing JMU at Fed Ex-i.e. I didn't have to buy tickets vs a tomatoe can where the outcome isn't in doubt.
