Do we ever attempt to schedule anyone else from big 10 besides our rivals like minn and Iowa? Obviously we have wrestled penn state due to the bowl series but what about schedulinga duel with Ohio state? Just wondering if we attempt or we don't even bother. That would be nice to see a home and home

Seeing us there with NC State reminded me of something Willie Saylor tweeted a couple of months ago. He tweeted that we would be wrestling the Wolfpack next year in Italy. Chris Perry then retweeted it. I haven't seen anything else about it since. Anybody know if that's happening or it was planned and fell through?

O/T: Not going to create a new thread for this, but Willie Saylor just tweeted that Daton has offered to wrestle Gilman at Flo's WNO. Kid is utterly fearless.
That would be awesome. It would be great to see where Fix stacks up on the senior side.
It looks like Iowa (Mark Perry) is not going to accept the Fix/Gilman match at WNO. That kind of makes sense since there is really no upside for Gilman (other than he would be paid apparently).
But...Richard Immel interviewed Daton the other day and asked him if he would be entering the U23 trials. Daton said coyly that we'll have to see who shows up. It certainly sounded like he will. Would be a great test - Tomasello is already entered on Trackwrestling. Would love to see others go as well - Kaid, Boo, Collica, Joe Smith, Zeke Jordan(?)...
U23 is similar to Junior Worlds but competitors can be up to 23 years old.

This is probably not relevant to most fans but Mr. Earl and I attend the Southern Scuffle each year and it is the best run tournament I have attended. Due to our overseas match three days after the Scuffle ends It might be problematic for the starters to attend this year and this would put a crimp in our plans to attend. It would be nice if the coaches would give us plenty of lead time about this. It could still be very entertaining with Fix, Gfeller and several others including whoever we redshirt, would be there.
