Hey we got 3 guys left on the board, Damn. Be classy, don't gloat cause a kids dream isn't coming true!

I feel bad for the kid. Pitino is the snake in this!! Harrell put his trust in his coach and got screwed. He would have been drafted in the 1st round last year and Rick convinced him it was in his best interest to come back.

Why any kid would go there is beyond me?!!

Terrance jones will hopefully stomp all over him since he will be homeless without the guaranteed money

I'm not, The Harrison's were not ready for the NBA. They are prototypical 4 year college players. And their exclusion from this draft will hurt us and coach Cal in the long run.

I am not shocked with what I have seen so far and I really had hoped that the twins were 1st round selections. Remember, they were told many times at end of last year that they wouldn't be drafted in 1st Round by many NBA Experts. They could have stayed another year here at UK but I doubt if it would have helped with being Drafted in the 1st round in 2016. They will probably go like most experts told them and that is mid to low 2nd round and some experts were saying not drafted at all. They might have done better to went after their Freshman season when there was alot of hype for both of them leading us to the NCAA Championship Game and the many big shots they made in the SEC and NCAA Tourney. I do hope they go in the 2nd Round.

Harrell is a good player. Surprising he went in the second round
He's a 6'6 power forward. Not too many of those.

This is two years in a row. Last year Pitino talked Russ Smith into coming back. We'll play you at the 1 now that Peyton is gone, that's your position in the NBA, he said. Smith also went in round 2.

Harrisons were hellbent on going pro no matter what and it was dumb especially with no one even remotely calling them first round picks.

Both could have improved their stock.

just like returning improved harrell's stock. their stock also "could" have gotten worse.

Everyone said Johnson would not get better by returning. Wonder if Christmas thought the same.

Andrew will be a big time pro IMO . I don't think his brother will but Aaron wasn't coming back if andrew didn't obviously. Dakari should of come back and i would of thought that even if he went in the top 30 like i thought he would . He could of been a top 15 pick next year and now he will have to fight it out in the d league even if he is drafted .. But Dakari has gotta live with his mistake and I wish him the best.

so how is the twins not getting drafted going to hurt Cal/UK? please explain.

Fair or not, someone on the recruiting trail is going to use the fact against us that both twins were top 5-10 players out of high school and went 2nd round/undrafted.

That logic completely ignores Cal's monumental success with a billion other players (most recently KAT who was 5-10 ranked and went #1), but someone will use it. And to a 17 year old immature kid with aspirations of being a PG in the NBA, that busted logic might make a difference.

Dakari was never going to be a top 15 pick. He still wouldn't play a ton of minutes next year and wasn't going to get more athletic. He would just be a year older which is seen as a negative in NBA scouting

It isn't going to "hurt Cal/UK". I never said anything about it hurting UK?Cal. I stated that getting drafted in the 2nd round of a loaded draft is no better than returning for a Junior year at UK and working on your game with a chance of going higher in the next year's draft.

Jay Bilas' best available has Bobby Portis listed as a SF?

Don't put much stock in those position listings. For some reason, on draft day ESPN always seems to list a position smaller for many of these guys than they actually end up playing--guys who actually end up as 2s get listed on draft day as 1s, guys who end up as 5s get listed as 4s, 3s as 2s, etc.

This is just another silly example of that. Anyone who's watched Bobby Portis knows he's obviously not in any way whatsoever a SF, but that didn't stop some ESPN nitwit from listing him as one anyways. Not sure why, but they do that on their draft coverage every single year.

if someone is going to use that line on a recruit....they better not have failed a recruit of their own for reaching their potential. quick...name all the coaches who bat a thousand.

its possible that someone uses this...but its really really stupid. and its stupid for uk fans to think this will have an effect.
