Okafor was basically a lock for the 1st pick before this season and drops down to 3rd. That is the Duke effect folks lol. I hope recruits are watching this draft because the school they pick does matter.

Great night if WCS slides to 19 so that the Wizards can get an athletic big to run with Wall.

Not sure sliding from 1-3 is enough to sway recruits, haha.

Example of a smart draft pick:
Lakers take a need compared to the best player available than compared to the Sixers and the Knicks. Both will be back in the lottery next year while the Lakers will be in the playoffs

they all would have been millionaires had they gone to Mississippi State.
You realize that 5 stars go to schools like that all the time right? And that the percent of them who end up first round draft picks are way lower than for UK? The rest of the SEC is never short on high school stars - that's not their issue. It's not like it's this nebulous concept you can troll with, with no data to draw from. Just go look at the numbers and see for yourself.

I think the way Cal handled Karl was absolute genius. Just gradually brought him along until he blew up at the end of the season. Okafor on the other hand was somewhat exposed as the season progressed.

With the NBA being a league that drafts on potential, the way Karl was brought along couldn't have been better if the objective was to make him the No. 1 draft pick.

Potential future draft picks should look and learn.

I am not able to watch but wondering on Cousins plus the 76'S situation they have 3 big time centers. Are they moving Noel or Embid? Also Is Aldridge leaving Portand tonight as well? Any trades or rumors get them going here if you all would be so kind!

Cuz and WCS in paint, good luck playing small ball. Or WCS is backup plan if Cuz is traded...

I see WCS being a Noah type defensive player. Bilas is hating tonight.

happy for WCS. Don't see any way you can play he and Cousins together unless you're hoping WCS can shut down opposing PFs.

Yea no way they can be on the floor together a lot. Cousins needs space to go to work on offense too

Don't think he's a bust but I believe he could become a empty numbers type of guy who can't be the #1 option on a good team.
Right - there are guys like that - Carlos Boozer, Al Jefferson, etc, who are double double machines and have post moves for days, but their defense is lousy so they can never lead a team to greatness.
