Perfectly constructed team. Mix of stud frosh with experienced guys who could PLAY. Outside shooting. Able to switch all 5 positions on defense.

Game got a little too close for comfort after Lamb hit those back to back 3s (which were just daggers). Thought we went into stall ball a little too early. But that team executed at such a high level.

I thought the x-factor to the team was Miller being their 6th starter. He was their zone buster. It pretty much guaranteed that teams couldn't guard us effectively for an entire game.

the interchangeability was the key. miller could play 2 through 4 coming off the bench, and since lamb could play 1 or 2 and jones could play 4 or 5 it meant cal could sub any player at any moment. that was basically the perfect 6 man dynamic. all of them could play 35 minutes no problem. jones, lamb and miller were all very well conditioned. ad, mkg and teague had no fat on them. or at least what they did have they ran off quickly. if you needed fouls you had vargas. if you needed a bomb you had wiltjer. it was a hell of a team.

Miller is easily one of my favorite Cats. Super well rounded. Just a winner. 3x German Champ, finals MVP, solid 5 year run with Pelicans. Dude was selfless and a great team player. Every title team needs a guy like him

A night never to be forgotten for saw it live with daughter in prime lower level seats. It was a classic night. Outside it was thundering and lightening like crazy. Cats dunks were the thunder and outside shots were the lightening!

Game got a lot closer than it ever should have but a fun game to re-watch.

Luckily, WLKY in Louisville didn't switch. I couldn't believe it. Probably because all of the UK fans calling in and bitching about it after they switched during the 92 UK Duke game replay a couple weeks ago. All of the other local Louisville stations switched to the press conference. The almighty power of the BBN, by God. LOL.
