I remember going into that game decided underdogs to the Rebels and feeling much like I do before this game. That MSU will get beat and lo and behold, Kevin Fant had time to throw, the defense sacked Eli hard and made Archie cuss on National tv, and we beat their butts! I remember standing outside my RV and some rebel students walked by and yelled " Mississippi State " Sucks ! After giving them the finger, my whole tailgate was into the game. We laughed at every student from UM that walked back by the RV after the game with their mouths shut ! State should never have beaten UM that year --but they did. Despite poor coaching, can we repeat the performance from 2001? You never know ! Maybe?

Based on the fallout from that game, I don't know if we want to.

....I see between now and then is that this year's game is in Oxford. Home field has made a big difference lately.

And no matter if both teams are 3-8 coming in, that game is rockin'. At least in Starkville it is, I imagine it is in Oxford as well.

It ought to be. Reb fans are crazy if they don't pack the house(instead of the grove) and make that place as raucous as possible. They're playing for the Cotton Bowl for God's sake, and also a little payback for what happened last year.

that had more overall talent that year than right now. We played that game at home. Dicenzo Miller was a senior and played well. An upset could happen but I don't see it this year.
