Indiana lost lost Xavier lost Miami lost... Not saying we will get up there but we could be locked up as a 3 seed if we take care of business.
People are waaaaaaaaaay overreacting to what happened today.
Honestly, there's no way you can justify UK as a 2 seed. Is UK as good as anyone else in consideration for a 2? Yes, possibly better. Does that eliminate 8 losses, 4 of them ranging from bad to really bad? Nope.
Hope for a 3. That's justified. But even that's no sure thing, because we don't know how the committee is going to look at the overall crappiness of the SEC.
Yep. I'd love a 3, of course. But with losses to Ohio State, UCLA, Auburn, Tennessee and LSU - none of them likely good enough to make the tournament - we've given the committee plenty of rope. I'm having visions of that 2011 team, which also finished strong and crushed Florida in the SECT final. We all thought we'd get a 2. Got a 4.People are waaaaaaaaaay overreacting to what happened today.

Don't need to for a 3. the 2 nonsense is as bad as 4 seed nonsense after today's win. UNC , UVA , Nova and KU are 1's . Oregon, Oklahoma , WVU and Mich St are the 2s . UK , Xavier are 3's . Not sure who the last 2 3's are maybe Miami and Utah ?West Virginia and Oregon won doubt we pass either of them.
Yep. That worries me as well. Never underestimate the selection committee.Yep. I'd love a 3, of course. What is this fascination you have with what happens on the last weekend before the NCAA tournament??? Are you basically saying the regular season and any losses we picked up then are meaningless? If that is true then why do we even play the regular season!!!!Alot will need to go in our favor tomorrow to have any hope of a 2 seed.
Major upsets must abound tomorrow even more so than today for UK to have a slim shot at a 2.
Yep, the ONLY way that a win on Sunday matters is if an (as of now) non-tourney team ends up winning. WE win? We have seen this time and time again...it changes NOTHING. Which is pathetic IMO.What is this fascination you have with what happens on the last weekend before the NCAA tournament??? Stop with the #2 seed stuff. It ain't happenin'.
We were a #4 going into play today. We MIGHT get elevated to a #3 if we win Saturday. Anything we do on Sunday will be meaningless and that isn't me saying that. It's the NCAA's past history that is saying it. Although, there are apparently Selection Committee members out there insinuating that Sunday won't matter in TV interviews. What more evidence do you need???
Yup. But, the SEC could fix the problem pretty simply. Just move the conference tournament up a single day and hold the championship game on Sat. night. Would probably even improve TV ratings. But, you'd have a hard time convincing me the SEC cares very much about basketball. So, probably never happen.Yep, the ONLY way that a win on Sunday matters is if an (as of now) non-tourney team ends up winning. WE win? We have seen this time and time again...it changes NOTHING. You overreact by doing exactly what you're doing, bumping UK up 4 or so spots from where most people project them right now.How do you over react to #5 and #10 losing to unranked teams before the weekend?
How do you over react to UK winning 8 of last 10 by an avg of 22.5 ppg?
I see a 4 in our futureUK will get the 3. They are going to win the SEC tourney. A&M is the only team that slightly worries me.
