Bell- Very slow. Caught from behind several times. Turnovers still horrible year after year after year. Secondary is not very good. Surprised clock management was so poor. The good news is we still had a chance to win at the end of the game after not playing very well.

OL line for the most part dominated the LOS (didn't like the play calls much on the short yardage plays). DL shut down their running game all day even if they can't pressure QB's without some blitzing, LB's were good, I thought.

We are a team with some big holes though:.
- Bell did pretty well, but we need a HR hitter at RB for Frost's offense to click.
- Receivers made several huge drops yesterday that were enough to make the difference in the game by themselves
- DB's aren't up to the level we need right now in sheer talent.

Akron game cancellation hurt us. I think we win this game for sure with a game prior to this one.

I was very impressed with how far our line play has come. In the first half the DLine was just mauling CU’s Oline. I think they had 3 or 4 3 and outs in a row, and all of them ended on 3rd down with a sack. 7 sacks on the day, against a very good QB who I expect will play on Sunday’s. 7 sacks in a game is half the TOTAL over the entire season last year. Also early on, the Oline was doing a great job opening up running lanes and giving adequate time in pass pro. I’d say yesterday, the lines, AM and the running game were most impressive and give me reason to think that things most certainly are going to be better this season. As long at AM can get back on the field ASAP, we’ll be okay. Without him this year, it’s could be a rocky season.

Good points. to me the play of the OL and DL were the big news of the day. They had some miscues and areas where I critiqued them, but by and large they put us into a position to win this game easily.

#1 Mike Williams is the real deal and Greg Bell not so fast.
#2 We went with inexperience (and it cost us) when we had Ozigbo to take care of the ball (AM shouldn’t have been running into the teeth of the defense getting beat up and turning the ball over when when have Ziggy for that,)

Positive: The upward trajectory is crystal clear and that’s what I most wanted to see. Depsite a bitter loss of a winnable game, I’m relieved to move on from where we were last year (maggot covered rotted corpse covered in feces in bottom of flaming dumpster) and am excited for the future which seems obviously bright.

Negative: So many mistakes that individually, each one removed could have won us the game, but two seniors (Morgan and Reed) making most critical errors in clutch time was the biggest disappointment.
*and let’s hope Martinez is gonna be ok

Good-Our offensive line. Our offensive line is much further along than I thought possible at this point. 300+ yards on the ground and 550 yards overall, they played very well.
Bad- Our team played very timid at times. With Frost's philosophy of No fear of failure, I thought we'd see more guys flying around, but our whole team looked kind of slow and slow to react to things. Mo Washington and the linebackers in particular seemed to play very timid.

First time MW played in college football environment he’ll get better as the season moves along and I can’t wait till he has a whole year in the weight room..

This all the way. I'm assuming you mean the fumbles in particular might have been avoided with the experience of getting hit by a foe with a purpose.

Take any one fumble away or dropped ball and I think we win this.
