Trying to open up the run because they cant run either. What else you gonna do? Cant run, cant pass.
They seem to be really struggling to keep Coleman in front of them hence the holds. Look for a deep pass to him in the second half

Sure seems that way. He’s made some plays with his feet for first downs though that others might not have. MSU’s DC is doing a good job. Almost seems like they know what the play call is before we snap it.
Doesn't matter if he competrs his *** off if he's not competent. We don't need a savior, just competence.
Well, we have to call pass plays because of their defense, I just wish we would use or tight end more today. I think we are fortunate to be tied at this point. We won’t get all those calls in the 2nd half. So far, MSU’s defense looks really tough and we really haven’t had an answer.
Coleman has been wide open multiple times. Ray Charles just needs to find him
Actually a good OC calls a game to his players strengths so it is his fault..
I’ve seen a lot of 2 and 3 yard gains and a few negative plays. 2-3 is better than an incompletion but we’re having trouble getting those 4-5 yard gains consistently that we need. I’m not disagreeing that we still need to run it more.
Neither one is doing us a lot of favors today, but give MSU’s defense credit—they are shutting us down.
Mickey and Grant also come to mind. And we still won a ton of games with them at QB.
Their fans are all lit up about the penalties-- one thing they could try if they don't want a flag would be to quit tackling receivers every time they're trying to run a route. The penalties will decrease.

Who? Thompson? Last I saw he was out for the year injured again. Didn't have a great year prior to the injury either.
lord was worse.. under 50% completions more picks than tds. the only passes i remember him throwing were all into the ground.
His WRs were trash so there was that. He was all we had on offense.
Did you ever watch Travis Turner?( mid 80's)Threw it into the back of his offensive lineman's helmet on multiple occasions.
I heard the 3rd string qb- Purdy was looking good and is healthy this week. Maybe he needs to be put in, just to see if there is anything there.
