That was idiotic. Run the ball, punt with 30 seconds left. That is why we have lost so many one possession gamesājust lack of common sense.

Snapped the ball too early on 2nd down, called timeout too early on 3rd down and then throw an incompletion on 3rd down. Hate that sequence of plays, just run the ball 3 times, snap the ball inside 5 seconds and waste as much time as possible to go into halftime 10-0.
I would have probably run a zone read and just gotten as much time off the clock as possible. We left way too much time on the clock
Can we just have a coaching staff that has basic common sense? Is that too much to ask for $5-7 million/year????

I will happily be the clock management guy for whoever the next staff is. Pay me $50k, fly me in for the games and it'll be the best clock managed team in the country. I'm a multi-time champion in Madden and NCAA football games for years, it is so easy to maximize clock in the last four minutes of halves. Seriously, $50k is a discount with my championship pedigree.
