Benhart on that last play got whacked upside the head and the guy pushed his head sideways to gain leverage to get the sack. Should have been 15 on that guy. Benhart is getting pushed around but that sack wouldn't have happened without that head shot.

I am not a Nelson fan (the player, not the band) but if he had 1 ounce of athletic ability he would be Jared Tomich.
The play they wanted to call probably wasn't in his set of plays that he is comfortable with. That said, I didn't see any brilliant play calls on that last set of downs. Should have just gone heavy and pounded the ball instead of going empty. Odds are pretty good you could gain 2.3 yards per run and if you get stuff on 2nd down you set up a play action. MSU is KILLING us with play action because they continued to pound the ball even though we for a dozen or more plays stuffed their run.
We would have a better chance of Santa Clause delivering a basket of presents to the Easter Bunny than Nebraska stopping the penalties.
