There's another one coming in after 9PM. This game isn't going to happen.

Any chance this game could get played tomorrow?

Riley.This is Gebbia’s fault.
So, I guess the next stadium renovation will be a dome. Because apparently you can't have games in September without thunderstorms.
In my roughly 40 years of watching Nebraska football I have never seen a lightning delay on opening day. Not ever.
Where's Bill Murray? I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuff is gonna come down for awhile!!
Doubtful, especially being a holiday weekend. It takes a lot of people and logistics to put on a game for 90,000 people.
Riley.
I don’t care if they don’t allow a single fan in for the game .... we need every win we can get and the Colorado game is going to be even tougher without a game under our belt

I'm not talking about fans. It takes hundreds workers to put on a college football game, many of which probably have plans for the Holiday weekend tomorrow. Also, Akron probably doesn't have hotel rooms booked for tonight, and they probably have a charter plane set to depart tonight.
And the forecast for tomorrow is just as bad.
Yep. This game is getting cancelled. So much for a “warm up” game before the Buffs come to town. Not good.Big part of the storm isn’t even here yet, very doubtful this game happens
There was a lightning delay during the 1991 opener vs. Utah State.
Later that season, the temperature vs. Colorado was near Zero. (Remember the snowballs as NU tried a field goal to win the game?)
The Oklahoma game was played in 33 degree weather with intermittent heavy rain.
Anything on when the last lightning was so we know the earliest they could restart?
I was at that game in norman, cold.
Just seen a local weather alert cut in on another channel and the lightning is ongoing.Anything on when the last lightning was so we know the earliest they could restart?
